(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score UPDATE: Sorry its been a while, kinda been at a stand still for a few weeks. No pics right now cause I suck...I'll try to post some soon. Anyway, got the dual OCC setup installed (one catch can VTA, then the other Matts version 1 location. Had to drill and tap the oem PCV plate for the VTA OCC..PITA but well worth it at the end. Thanks @MATT DAMOND; for all the help and advice on my setup! Also found out I had been running a 6psi EWG spring the whole time...fml. So I went ahead and bought a 14.5psi spring..hello power again! Now just waiting on my new revision from Justin to get the 6th port up and running!

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score UPDATE: So here are the results from 93 octane using 6th port injection. For some reason my computer wont let me print scrn my dynojet chart, but attached is my 3rd gear datalog. I imagine if I used 4th gear, the power would be maybe 10 more hp. Anyway, It made 377whp/351tq before knock started to become a factor. I think if people are looking to do 6th port with just pump gas, dont bother. Might as well just do pump with meth for 400+. E85 is where the powers made for 6th port. I will try and post more often so you guys can see the progress.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Why so much KR? You're not running all that much timing.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score There's KR present due to the amount of boost I'm running. I think there's a tradeoff but correct me if I'm wrong; either you can run more boost but less timing, OR less boost, with more timing. @finalspeed; may be able to give more details on his tune..we both did 6th port injection but the tunes are different. With 93, he was seeing roughly 16-18* timing with 23psi making 330-ish whp I think. However he was using more of his aux injectors. His duty cycle was in the 50-60's while mine was at 92%.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Have you eliminated the possibility that it's just noise? Yes, more boost will yield higher KR, but I had thought that it was because of the higher BAT's associated with higher boost. Your BAT's look fine (as they should with that monster intercooler setup LOL).

| Not Ranked : 0 score Im not a tuner but it seems as if your tune still needs to be cleaned up you shoot up to 26psi down to 22 and back up to 26 and then tapers off and your afrs are bouncing all over. I know when i take a log i hold my boost and my afrs are 11.76 all the way through the log. Have you done a boost leak test? Spark plug gaps are good? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yea comparing my power to the pu's isnt realistic lol. Can't wait till I get further in this e85 tuning! @finalspeed; is pretty much done with his, Lex is just fine tuning. 510/516ish with 37psi on a GTX3076?!? And with that said, its been 95+ degrees ambient! Cant imagine power during the cooler seasons. O_o

| Not Ranked : 0 score I probably missed it but Benny is on E85 also, right? I'm trying to decide if I should indeed go JMF With PI or JMF with 6th port. Needless to say I've been following your build closely. I wish Benny would keep a build thread going. Both of y'all are the kings of the hill in AR right now. Hopefully I will be able to join y'all sometime in the future.

| Not Ranked : 0 score shitty fuel is shitty. PI is great if you have the octane. The only way to logically (not intellegently) reduce that KR is to target lower AFR's but how low can you go right? Using meth or e85 will let you use more of the injector before KR is an issue. Essentially I'm saying if you don't have extra octane/cooling, then KR will hit before you can use the capacity of the PI system rendering it almost useless.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Only way you can make big numbers on low octane fuel is through a lot of flow and a very large turbo. You are going to make response suffer down low. I would say that unless you have a massive turbo and a ported head/perhaps with cams 6th port is not going to be of benefit on pump fuel alone. 6th port actually loses power unless you need the fueling headroom. DI has its benefits in terms of combustion, atomization, cooling. So use it as far as you can and then swap to 6th port when you've ran out. If you encounter knock before running out of fuel, 6th port is not going to help.

With your setup I have no doubt we will end up right around 600. Right now I have your 6th port only at about 50% so this next map is 30 psi. I like to keep DI high 80s to low 90s so we may need to make another aux fuel map. But see how she does with a little more boost and then we can dial in the ignition curve which really hasn't been touched.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Little update: This past sunday I was driving around and did a couple logs for the tune. 30psi feels badass btw. The HKS bov no longer makes the high pitch purge sound, instead it just sounds like a loud explosion being released lmao. I ended up doing a highway pull against my friend in his gsxr600 and pulled on him after 100. Once the run was done, I noticed the right side of my windshield had liquid spray on it. Pulled over and noticed oil had blown out of the dip stick. Apparently there was a shit ton of crank case pressure. Messaged Justin and told him what happened. He recommended doing a compression test, so the next afternoon I went ahead and did one. Compression results: cyl 1-190 cyl 2- 190 cyl 3- 185 cyl 4- 190 Oil had gotten on the spark plugs on #1 & #4 :/ After that, I started looking at the plumming of the dual OCC's. Found that the non-vented can was correctly ran, but the vented can was not. I had the check valve that lead to the valve cover facing towards the OCC, not the valve cover like it should have been. I went ahead and removed the check vlv all together so theres no restrictions. Hopefully that will fix the crank case pressure issue, but we'll see. Maybe I will need the genwon SP63 oil cap breather to help vent more.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I'm thinking you want that check valve in there, otherwise it will affect fuel trims. Under vacuum you'll be pilling air into the crankcase, right?

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I'm not sure exactly. Justin recommended that I remove the check valve so there were no restrictions. As of right now I only have a check valve coming from the "perm plate" to the vented OCC, and one going to the intake mani from the non-vented OCC. Im going to remove the throttle spring I have securing my dip stick down and see if it pops out under full boost. If so, then I think I'll need the oil cap breather

| Not Ranked : 0 score Ya his VC vent is going to a vented can. So no need for a check valve there. Let that crank case breathe as much as possible

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score So I did a couple logs this week and felt a cut of some sort. Found out it was a fuel cut in my 4th gear WOT log right around 5500rpm. Strange cause the 3rd gear log was perfectly normal, but Im aware the fuel demand in 3rd gear compared to 4th is different. The dip stick had popped after each log (no oil spewing anymore), so theres still some pressure building in the crank case. I still need to do a leak down test to see if theres any other issues. I spoke to Pablo from Speed Perf6rmanc3 and he was nice enough to offer for me to test out their genwon oil cap breather prototype. Got an email saying he would send it out today cant thank you guys enough! Hope this helps vent some of the pressure building up! Will post some updates when I install the oil cap breather/complete a leak down test.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Just seeing this thread, this is an awesome build. I've been looking at the 6262 to run on my speed6 build, looking to run direct port meth injection on the jmf intake manifold. Still trying to figure out all the little details but it's nice to know someone is running this on a speed 6.

Thanks man! The 6262 is a great turbo. It's spooling as fast as my old 2871 did. I'm getting 30psi by 3900rpm. I'm spooling that quick cause I'm running air to water and the piping is only 1 1/2ft long. I'm hoping to get the tuning done by September, but we'll see. I'm waiting on the oil cap breather prototype from SP63 which will hopefully solve my crank case press issue.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score UPDATE: So at the beginning of the month of September, I had noticed the exhaust smoking white intermittently. I checked to see if there was oil in my intercooler pipes, but found small metal shavings instead. FUCK. Turbo seals went out it..Took off all the piping and cleaned it out. Looked at the compressor wheel and saw it had made contact with the housings walls. I called Preicision to see how much it was to rebuild the turbo. Prices started at $185 and went from there. By the looks of it, it would have needed a new compressor wheel since the edges had a few knicks in them. I went ahead and said fuck it, and bought a PTE 6266 Gen2 w/ .82 hotside ![]() both.jpg turbo.jpg
