STILL having knock retard!

Ok, so I have tried to figure out where in the world this KR is coming from. It is so effing frustrating. I have changed the mounting location of the CAI, changed the weight of the engine oil, checked all mounts, made sure all piping is secure and not rubbing or banging against any other metal parts. The only other thing that I can possibly think of is the fuel injectors moving and clanking around in the engine. Does that sound crazy? There is a bigger turbo now so the engine is working much harder including the injectors. I wonder if the seals are wearing now which is causing clanking. All mounts are solid and the rods are forged. What do you all think?

Every time Ive heard of seals going supposedly they sound like popcorn poppin.

Its so hard to hear the injectors while driving cuz the car is so loud.

Mods are - GT3076R, Cobb AP, Wiseco pistons, K1 Rods, upgraded FP, FMIC, C-pe CAI, Catless turbo back exhaust, colder plugs and solid mounts. Tuned by P-Tuning.

What values?

What fuel?
When was the rebuild done? By who?

what does "P-Tuning" say about the KR?
Have they made map changes to try & address the issue?

sounds like seals 100% if you have eliminated everything else.

Try a little e85 and see if that helps with the knock.

^ This is a really good way to check if it's the tune or if its just from something clanking around the same frequency as knock. Just 1 gallon on a fill up shouldn't require any tuning changes or MAF cal.

You could have a noisier engine because it is forged. Describe under what conditions KR is happening and post a log to show this.

Also make sure the car is fully warmed up when looking at KR.

Did you check your VVT chain/actuator? I had a thread about mine causing fake KR when I wasnt at WOT, I had to have the timing chain replaced bec of it not being heat treated property - caused it to stretch over time.

EASY WAY TO TELL: after your car is warmed up (letting it run for @ least 10 mins) turn car off, remove cap where timing chain is and see if it has any give, it should be pretty tight - if it has some give to it - it could be loose causingresearch my thread "knock knock whose there"....thats just my .02 lol
