(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Just thought I'd start a thread about my BT-Build. Well it's just another 3071R IWG-build but a good place for me to ask questions that will come up during the build. I'm sure there will be plenty. The knowledge on MS3/MS6 in Sweden is well, a bit narrow so to speak. I think there are about 2-3 bt-builds in sweden that I know of. So a thread here will be needed I guess ![]() Well, the current mods on my car are these: Simons Cat-back and race-pipe (swedish brand) UR catted Downpipe Forge BPV AEM Dryflow SRI TZR Dogbone RMM Hypertech CP-E TMIC Denso Iridium ITV22 JBR Short Shift Plate JBR Heavy Shift Knob COBB STS JBR RSB KW Variant 3 coilovers OZ Ultraleggera 8x17" with Toyo Proxxes R888 235/45R17 Hawk HPS Front pads Motul RBF 600 brake fluid This was ordered a week or two ago from @JP@edgeautosport.com: ATP GT3071R IWG (will be ported) Steedspeed mani CP-E FMIC CP-E safeseals I also have a CP-E 4" inlet pipe and autotech internals at home. Will also add a MBC. The plan is to tune with EcuTek. My goal is set at 350whp. That's as far as my trust goes to the ecutek-tuners in Sweden... This is the car at the moment: Thanks in advance for all the questions being answered in the future ![]() // Mayer tl;dr: Another 3071R IWG-build, meh. Last edited by mayer; 09-20-2011 at 02:48 AM. |

Since I have to go to my friends or parents place whenever I want to work on the car, because I don't have a proper garage, this will really be focused on getting a safe tune rather than maxing the turbo to it's limits.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Stuff arrived from @JP@edgeautosport.com today! I'm changing my mind about the tuning part, instead of going with Ecutek I'm hoping that versatune will release their final tuning tool for the MS3 soon. If they do that I could have a possibility to get tuned by someone of you guys that knows what you're doing. Damn I would look really good in a PERM... ![]() Last edited by mayer; 10-14-2011 at 01:12 AM. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Because no one knows exactly how it will work with our car. It has been done with a Mexican car but never with a Swedish. Or European either for that matter. At least not that I know of. For example we have KPH instead of MPH speedometer, and that may be a problem. I would love to try but the risk of it not working or needing me to change the whole car to a US is a problem... If anyone knows more about this feel free to discuss here. I would love to be able to use the AP. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Mayer, A friend of mine has an extra ECU that he's looking to sell. It's a Canadian based ECU. Our cars run on KPH distance/speed metering and celcius temperature measurement. I think he also has an AccessPORT available to sell. If you want, I can put you in contact with him.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score A mini christmas eve today when my mani arrived, thanks @JP@edgeautosport.com! Basically got all my stuff now. Gaskets for the intake mani and TB are on their way from @jbarone along with a EGR block off. I also installed the FP internals and FMIC this weekend. Going to New York on Saturday for a weeks vacation and when I come back I'm hoping to drop the turbo in withing a week. I have been in contact with @Lex regarding a PERM using Versatune and stuff is looking promising. I have ordered the tactrix cable today. Last edited by mayer; 10-25-2011 at 05:56 AM. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Back from NY, damn I want to live there lol. Brought home new gaskets for both intake and exhaust as well as the Tactrix cable. Versatuner is installed and I'm in the process of getting a base tune done with the help of Lex. Still looking to install this weekend. A stupid question regarding the MBC. How is it supposed to be connected? I know I read about it somewhere but that was with a K04 and I just want to make sure I got it figured out before the install. So I don't have to tap any new boost source holes or anything. Anyone got a good explanation to the install of my Hallman Pro RX? @JP@edgeautosport.com maybe? |

Leave the factory solenoid plugged in at the harness but just close the loop by attaching the same line from one nipple to the other so it doesn't throw a code. Since you're working with Lex, ask him, he'll tell you too. He might give you some good pointers on how to set it up.

| Not Ranked : 0 score The MBC install is really very simple as was pointed out above. The source should go to a port on the manifold. You can use a T fitting to split an already existing source. I personally like to use the manifold as the source but you can use any charge section of pipe. The nice thing about the manifold is that it's already tapped and already has ports you can attach to. The "outlet" of the MBC attaches to the nipple on your wastegate actuator on the turbo. Make sure the lines are secure and are not touching the exhaust components - if that line goes so does boost control and the turbo will spike without much of a saving grace (there are 10 Guardian Angels on the way ... ) but until then make sure this line is secure and not loose. Make sure you mount the MBC somewhere secure and an easy to reach area that is away from major sources of heat - ie exhaust. Finally, turn the MBC all the way down when doing the first runs. You want to make sure everything is connected correctly and that the turbo boost is staying close to the rated spring pressure which is the minimum boost you can run. E-mail me for more details Jonatan if needed.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Damn that red looks good, hmm... IWG.... or EWG on manifold... or EWG on exhust turbine... ATP doesn't charge to have the flange on the turbo for its kits, but I keep hearing it flows much better to have the EWG on the exhaust manifold.

![]() I wanted one since day one! and be able to get a more pricies tune and also the extra stuff that the AP has to over is interesting! BTW nice to see that more people in europe are boosting there Mazda MPS! ![]() 350HP should be no problem even whit the BNR Stage2 iam pushing 350HP shitty thing is that the boost would go above 1Bar on the dyno! ![]() and on the streeds it did 1.3Bar

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Have driven a while now and no leaks so far. The install went good, I snapped a bolt and some other minor setbacks during the install but overall I'm happy as hell. Driving around on spring pressure now but I have done some logging and everything is looking good. Asked my tuning-mom (Lex) if I could turn up the boost and got the answer I wanted. Wohoo ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Lol yeah it's mostly koenigseggs rolling around here. We have those as DDs and mazdaspeeds as our track cars... Not. ![]() I have actually never seen one on the streets, I have seen one once in my life and that was in Qatar... The most usual cars to race against on the streets is maybe BMW:s (330, 335, m3), Honda civic type r, ford st, ford rs, Volvos of all kinds, 350z, Audi s3, s4, golf gti:s and a few more... :p But there is not too often someone rolls up and wants to race, well it happens but not like every day. We have "organized" blackraces/streetraces almost every weekend during the summer though, and there it's a wide variety of cars racing.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Turned up the boost today to around 16 psi and damn does the car fly. I love this damn turbo. ![]() The logs are still looking good but couldn't turn up the boost any more since my MBC was turned all the way down. It has the softer spring in it though and I didn't get the harder one in the package so I will have to try and find one. Hard to be annoyed over that though, now that the car is so much fun ![]() Fuck that K04! Last edited by mayer; 11-15-2011 at 08:02 AM. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score A question. I started turning the MBC down yesterday and after about 5 turns the boost started increasing. It then increased gradually but at 1,1 bar (16 psi) the mbc was turned all the way down. On spring pressure the boost was 0,6 bar (8,7 psi) which seems low for spring pressure. Now, is it my wastegate actuator rod i need to turn or do I need the harder spring for the MBC? For me it sound like the WG-actuator since the boost was so low when the MBC was closed. What do you guys think? Summoning @JP@edgeautosport.com |

Should I connect the line from the bpv now going to the MBC input directly to the WG-actuator to check that the MBC is working correctly? To bypass the MBC. Last edited by mayer; 11-15-2011 at 08:55 AM.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Hmm so the Versatuner is reading 23.4 psi absolute (~14.7psia + 8.7psig)? @eric@edgeautosport or @Lex, can you guys possibly chime in on getting his boost right or understand what reading it's taking? |
