Default Turbo Noise
I recently got a gt2871r turbo in december (2011). Everything has been running just fine. last week I started noticing a kind of faint scraping sound coming from the turbo. When i turn the car off you can hear the turbo still spinning making that scraping sound. this sound will go on for 30-45sec tell the turbo stops spinning. Does anyone know what the problem might be????

Sorry bud, sounds like your bearings are shot. I had the same thing happen to the same turbo, except it was on another car.

Thanks... The turbo has only been on for 3 months and about 5k miles. I feel that its a bit premature for a problem like this happening so soon. What happen to your turbo? Did you try to warranty it?
