Default what turbo to go with? GTs
GT 3076 or GT 35.

if it was you witch one would you get.
and what rpm do these turbos start to spool?

i really think the problem with people bending rods is that the stock turbo spools to soon in the rpm.

get which ever you can get for the cheapest, both are good and would probably spool just over 4k.

in this video he is brake boosting but you can hear when the tires break loose and thats probably when he hits full boost. i think there are more 3076 guys. how much boost do you want to run on either turbo?

I think most people go with the 3076... Try out the GT35...

My GT2871r spools much earlier than 3000 with all my breather mods, though I honestly never boost below ~3500 or so anyway.

it depends if u like lag. i got a 3071 coz i like the fact it spools @ ~3700-4000 and i only WOT around these rpms anyway with stock turbo. so i eliminated PT boost and i can cruise @ 15in.Hg easy.

noob question, so when the wastegate opens up thats when the turbo spools?

my wastegate opens up around 4k and full-boost on 4.5k, does that sound right?

I have done quite a bit of reading up on this topic because I was having the same dilemma. I ended up going with the GT3076 for a few reasons. First of all It is a few hundred bucks cheaper and a tiny bit faster spooling than the GT35. The second reason is that the GT3076 is rated at around 500 crank horsepower at it's maximum output. I don't think I'll ever be in danger of seeing that much power unless some sort of breakthrough is made.

no, when the wastegate is open you're "wasting" exhaust gases that would otherwise be spinning the turbine.

once i get the money im going 3071 just because with breather mods ive heard of it spooling around 3200rpm and producing enough power to max out the mzr engine. (right now at least)
