I like this box a lot. The only problem is my meth controller is mounted inside my oem box in front of the battery. Is there any room between the ecu (in your location) and the battery?

Depends on the length of the battery. Let me go measure a car and see how much distance there is.

I would just relocate the meth controller. I personally dont like the controller in the engine bay but thats me. I have mine mounted by the traction control button area on my gen 1 ImageUploadedByTapatalk1445629919.057440.jpg

Okay so i looked at this on your site but i have a question or two.

Is this just a new battery box or is this for say 51r battery and ecu inside the box which is just a clean look?

If its just a normal box with ecu still on the side of the intake then is this just smaller providing More clearance for the intake?

The ECU is moved in this box to the front to allow more space. The ECU bolts to the front cover. Check out the picture above.

There isn't much space at all in there with the battery power cable.

Ok i didnt notice the video but after watching it i have answered my questions lol.

This is pretty kool tbh. I have a 3" intake and all i had to do was remove the lower ecu cover but this is great as i could have a 3.5 intake and still have the stock battery. This is important to me as my battery is only a year old and i can careless for a 51r battery

I have an htp 3.5"intake and I'm wondering if this would work with it with no rubbing whatsoever.

Would a 51R be too small and bang around in the box?

So the air scoop to the battery would go unused? Moar air to the IC, I guess...

It actually fits with my HTP 3.5"intake. There's a small area where the intake might touch on the side of the tray due to engine movement, but nothing too crazy. A small piece of insulating tape down the side edge can also remedy any rubbing

I had to find out the hard way but this box does NOT work with the Duralast OEM sized battery. The brackets for the plastic handle on the battery makes it too long so you can't close the top.

Had to go with the next size down of battery.

I was going to go with the HTP small battery tray, but what I liked about this one is that it completely hides the ecu.

Weren't you able to cut the brackets for the plastic handle?
