as weird as it sounds, i miss the hell out of my rx8. even though my speed3 is faster, more practical, easier on gas and actually responds to mods, there is something missing.

there was a much more noticeable connection between the car and the driver with the rx8. that being said... i will be picking up a rx9 in 2017.

still keeping the speed3 though...

I loved my old Rx8. Maybe 2 seperate models? Like C7 vs C7 Z06? Either way I hope its priced well compared to the GTR and possibly new Supra and NSX.

I know for a fact that there is a new rotary coming out in 17' (Mazda Training Spoiler). Although I heard single turbo..

Also, Mazda is currently prototyping a gas skyactiv turbo out in cali on laguna per my field engineer. Wether its AWD or FWD is unknown. They're pretty tight lipped. I know for a fact Mazda's got some nasty shit coming.

It's coming... I promise. As for features and looks that's what they're so tight lipped about. Jack wouldn't lie to me.. (Mazda trainer). I'll tell you he didn't lie about skyactiv..

All in fair though I'm still waiting. I want to tinker with a skyactiv d eventually.....

They seem to get more consistent as the actual news gets closer. Rumors are just that though, rumors. Hopefully we get official Mazda word in the near future on some of this.

They have changed their minds. Only thing I've seen is a motor on a stand. Mazda is not happy with the performance of the skyactiv d.

They've pushed back the us release for awhile. One thing I like about the company. They really work hard at releasing good quality stuff.

Unlike GM. shit I worked on caddys when the xts was released. They put a stop sale before any of them were even sold. There were up to 7 recalls depending on the model.

The skyactiv D has been out for a little over a year or so, but haven't been released in the US due to econmical regulations that most people don't care for lol.

And this is why the US never gets the good stuff , all these damn rules and regulations.

The skyactiv d is one of the cleanest burning diesels around. They pushed it back because Mazda is not happy with the performance of the vehicle. They were racing it last year at ... http://www.roadandtrack.com/racing/r...e-cars#slide-5 and the cars were failing.

Note: that car is pretty close to OEM spec. There are a few mods though.

This is the reason they pulled it off the US shelf for now. Vibrations, smoking issues, ect..

They're still racing it in the Tudor Series 07 and 70 Speedsource Prototype cars. I don't believe that they've had both cars finish a whole race without one of them retiring for one reason or another. I like the fact that they're using these cars as a kind of test-bed though. If it can survive racing conditions...

I thought they were racing their skyactiv D mazda 6 all last season? And the issues they were having, was a couple minor tuning issues and after loosing a few times came out strong toward the end of the season.....

But idk getting a car into the american market is always hard.
