CorkSport FMIC with SRI

I know you guys didn't post specific CFM numbers for your TMIC, do you get these flow tested? I remember it said "400 horsepower" (for the TMIC), but didn't say if it was chp or whp, which can be the difference between 550 and almost 650 cfm, which IMO is pretty significant.

I have your TMIC, and am debating as to whether or not I want to sell it and go the FMIC route, as I don't notice a huge enough difference between it and the stock TMIC at my power levels (Intake+Test Pipe+Tune) to justify having it installed.

So, pretty pretty please could you include the CFM it can flow in your blog post when it's ready for sale?

i would rather wait and have it done right IMO and you cannot beat that price. You will be paying almost twice as much with COBB.

i do, but i would rather spend 600 than 900.

if they would just do what I did they could have it on the market already, or at least use it as a starting point.

but for the $900 you get an intake, turbo inlet, and fmic so it's not like its not worth it, seeing as how you'll spend $200-300 on intake and inlet anyways.

True, but most people already have an inlet and intake by the time they buy a FMIC. I believe this one Corksport is making will route around the SRI you have so you dont have to get a new one.

well then you just sell the ones you have. i bought the corksport fmic for my ms6 used from someone then sold the airbox and inlet and used my cobb inlet and sri. just had to modify one of the fmic pipes.

Do you guys have an estimated date for the FMIC. I am in the process of getting some DBA Rotars and Hawk brakes, KMD internals, and the CNT catted DP, and want to make sure my fund tank will be refueled by the time you realese them. Hopefully after the first week of July.

I don't have a date yet for the kits. We have to re-test out the parts once we get the manufacturing changes done to make sure we have it right before we can release the kits.

I already have the long MS CAI - is that better in terms of pipe routing?

Prolly going to get in the way of their FMIC piping. I switched to a short ram last month for that very reason.

We are making this FMIC to work with our SRI. Most of the SRI out there are similar in design so there is a good chance it will work. The only way to know for sure will be to try it out once we release the kit.

You know, it could also work with a CAI if you routed the hot side piping over the passenger side, with the cold pipe coming up to attach to the IM on the driver's side...

Seems like piping would also be shorter that way too.

making a decision is going to be hard with the lack of information of how this setup is coming along. I for one am holding out only because I have Zen like patience.


Bullshit, we just had a kid so all my dough goes into diapers and formula. I'm holding out for initial testing and a price point. I expect to be going (fingers crossed, dick crossed) BT next spring and I hope that CS puts out a quality FMIC kit that I can utilize with my own SRI setup.
Along those notes CS; could we maybe get some spy shots or maybe see some piping ran for the new setup?

I'm interested, pending on the piping routing. Routing the piping on the drivers side seems so inefficient. There's like an extra 3 ft of piping! I'm leaning towards the cx racing kit for the piping alone. Or may just get the piping kit, and find a core on my own

i called derrick yesterday. i want this kit now! he said beginning of august i would have more info! left my phone number with him... i will be doing the fmic and sri and will then have to sell my aem cai and htp inlet pipe after i get it. gotta love wasting money lol. it came down to this option or cx-racing....and i prefer to keep my windshield washer fluid tank. Wish i could keep the aem intake since it was my very first part for the 6

derrick question for you. will my turboxs hybrid bov fit on this fmic set up? i hope so!
