Every time I see these I can’t help but think I am looking at 9mm shell casings without primers... congrats on the release, when I do my intake cleaning this is definitely on the list (wish another vendor would end the 2 week wait on an intake manifold....).

Geeze lol, guess I'm lucky I got the tokay seals before they were cs seals.

The price difference must be in the logo.

I don't see any problem with the price considering that the "other" known to be good injector seals on the market are a tad more.

Man... but it took a while for these to show up on the market again... too bad I managed to get the others, I wanted these instead but I had no choice.

Hmm i'm still not sold ... $200 for some damn brass sleeves? I ran toyota seals in my motor for over like 2 years which never saw below 28 psi ~480-500 whp, and that motor got swapped into @kashbringers; car and has been at 28-32 psi for about a year as well at the same power levels. About 2 months ago we lost our first seal, but pull them out, clean the injectors, $8 later for a full new set and we're back on the road again ... I dont see why these need to cost so much.

While it would be nice to have ones that you possibly never have to worry about again, I'm fine with paying $20 for 2 sets of seals that should last me longer than I will probably keep this car.

If these were priced <$100 I would honestly consider picking them up, but not for just under $200 shipped.

Expensive material prior to machining, doesn't seem that outlandish to me. I'm not saying that makes them a good or bad deal, just trying to put the price in perspective.

I'm pretty sure that $200 does not make a dent in the amount of money most of you already spent on all your other mods, especially those with bigger turbos.

Cost of material, testing, working with Tokay and honestly, we think it's a fair price compared to the alternative companies seals.

I must just not understand how much Brass costs or something. I was mixed up and was thinking the CPe seals were only $100, but they're $200 as well.

They cost a little more but guess what, you can actually buy them now. They need to make money to stay in business and fund other products/ideas to keep us all happy.

Well, thinking semi logically here as i was trying to do, i've been a drummer for about 11 yeras now. You know what else is made from brass? Cymbals. I can get a 17-18" cymbal, which is you know, designed, machined, uses tooling ... you catch my point, for about $200 for a mid range piece and $260-300 for the nicer pieces i play.

Zildjian A Series Medium-Thin Crash Cymbal 16 Inches | Musician's Friend

These pieces are ~80% brass and the other 20% is tin and silver, the total weight for one ( i play all 20" cymbals so i am spit balling slightly here) is right around 2-3 lbs at least. So, you can see how i was confused that you could get SIGNIFICANTLY more material for more or less the same price. But, as someone up above has apparently pointed out, the material is not brass, therefore, i was mistaken.

ROFL, here's MSF in a nutshell.

Phase 1 - pre-product phase: OMFG, I want this product so bad, OMG, I can't wait, how long is it going to take for them to come out, OMG, OMG, this is the best thing ever and you are the best ever and you are my best friend and I love you so much. You are going to sell 10,000,000 of these.

Phase 2 - product ready phase: fuck you guys, it's too expensive or it's too green or it's too blue. nah. I changed my mind.

Default CorkSport Injector Seals Released

CPE are only $10 more and come with slide hammer and studs which is really the only cost difference.

Not saying these are bad or not worth it, just don't understand why you don't price more competitively to take the market share of the proven seals that have been on the market a while.

Another vendor is releasing equally unproven seals for a much cheaper price. Seems more like what I'd do based on my business classes/professional experience.

Not trying to throw stones. Just personal curiosity.

EDIT: my apologies. They were proven by Tokay, I meant proven mass produced by CS.

First thing that need to do is include studs because stripping those torx bolts is the most fun thing to do...

You guys do a lot of things right but you definitely need to consider including studs in this kit for that reason alone.

I don't care that you "don't need extra clamping force" but I do care about how retarded I and others can be... stripping those OEM injector bolts is easy to do... ask me how.

If you are going to charge a premium price for the design, time and materials, make sure you include the small things that make the customer's installation easier/idiot proof (as possible).

Corrosion resistance, strength (think steel) and I think it is better suited to resist galling? it is not a cheap material, I recall having a non-ferrous knife that used it for the spring...

They're not brass.

When you compare the cost difference of cpe's brass seals and these BeCu seals, you'll see cpe makes WAY more money off a set than CS will on these. Regaurdless of the peripherals.

I agree with many of your posts, but your results using the Toyota seals are not indicative of normal results with those seals installed.

The Toyota seals would've been a great option, but besides your experience, I know very few people who haven't had them leak.

So what is the benefit of BeCu vs brass (high or low zinc). I'm not knocking the choice of materials and I'm no metallurgist, but I see both being run on much higher compression diesels and have to wonder if they aren't both suitable materials.
