CorkSport is pleased to announce a new product line designed at enhancing shifting and providing positive gear changes on Mazdaspeed vehicles. Our new line-up includes the CorkSport Mazdaspeed 3 Shifter Bushing Kit and the CorkSport Mazdaspeed 3 and Mazdaspeed 6 Short Shift Plate.



An easy upgrade that will eliminate side to side compliance and remove the slack on your shifter, the CorkSport Mazdaspeed 3 Shifter Bushing Kit replaces the rubber OEM shifter bushings with aluminum black anodized shifter bushings. By replacing the factory rubber bushings, which have a tendency to deteriorate and fall apart, with CorkSport shifter bushings, customers will see a noticeable difference in the way the car drives and improved shift responsiveness that will last for years to come.

The new CorkSport Mazdaspeed 3 Shifter Bushings are CAD designed and machined for exacting fitment and are made from billet aluminum for a long lasting durable finish. The shifter bushing kit comes with a two year warranty and easy to follow installation instructions for a quick simple upgrade that will dramatically improve you’re vehicles shifting responsiveness.



CorkSport’s Mazdaspeed Adjustable Short Shift Plate will further improve the shifter performance by adding precision and reducing the throw of your shifting while keeping the height of your OEM shifter unchanged.

The CorkSport Mazdaspeed Short Shift Plate is made from ¼” CNC Machined Steel Plate with a powder coated black finish. The adjustable setting allows drivers to customize the throw to their liking by a 20% to 40% reduction. The kit comes with a counterweight included for added responsiveness and self locking bolts for an easy installation that will take a mere 15-20 minutes to complete.

Can you guys also look into more solid shifter LINKAGE bushings as well?

Eliminating the common and unwanted shifter slop (Left to right movement when in gear) would make a great addition to this package IMHO.

I'd be first in line for such a product.

This is what I was hoping the bushing were to combat. That was the exact reason I was looking into purchasing them. So will it still have that "play" in the shifter?

Yes, which is why I'd like to see these come to the market. The base bushings, that you've purchased, just replace the rubber base bushings in the shifter mount to the body of the car.

Like you, I'd like to see harder and more precise LINKAGE bushings to eliminate the "Side Play" you and I are talking about.

Base bushings are definitely one of those "Meh... Might as well" mods.

Ok so I get them in mail today. Instructions say there are two different sized bushings but all four are the same size and two have cs logo. Is this a shipping error or instructions error? Didn't install yet cause I'm at work, just wondering.

There are two different sizes. The logo bushings are the 19mm size. There is a difference in size, just a small amount.

Ok install done, easy and fast. The mounting point on the bushings is what's smaller not the actual bushing so that's my stupidity. Feels a little more solid, haven't drove yet still at work. I did notice that on two of my stock bushings the metal sleeve was bent into an oval, glad I got these bushings haha

Yes, they makes shifts a lot more firm. I also just put the short shift plate in like 5 minutes ago. I didn't drive it but I ran through the gears and it shortened the shifts A LOT and I have it set a hair off of the shortest setting. Going for a test drive soon and can add more feedback, gonna take some getting use to though.

Just got back from the drive. Very pleased except for 2 things. First off you cannot adjust the plate to the farthest setting. If you do the cable rubs and it pops it into neutral unless you hold it in gear, only second gear does that. I'll adjust it a little more and it'll be perfect. Second is the counterweight although its just personal preference. I like a solid heavy shift but the weight that comes with it is lighter than stock. I'll put the stocker on and call it a day. Overall very pleased, just gotta adjust a few things.

I had the same oval bent sleeves as well. I did the same mods as you yesterday.

Anyone have a problem with the CS logo bushings not fitting in the base?
Kinda pissed, cause I have it all apart, and 2 bushings don't fit. Like I need to shave the plastic a bit. Wtf?

Edit- well I had to put the oem bushings back in. I am not shaving the plastic on my shifter base, that's for sure. The oem ones were not easy to wiggle back in either. I'm very pissed, to say the least, and Corksport will be getting a call from me on Monday.

Yes. I am going by the directions. It seems the smaller sized one (without the CS logo), fit perfectly in all four holes.

What year is your car?

We have people running the bushings in the 1st gen MS3, this is the first time we have had anything come up.

I personally have some of the shifter bushing from a differant company (cant be much differant) and I did notice a pretty good improvement. I think people with more miles on the car will notice it more since the stock rubber bushing tend to wallow (spelling?) out.

Ok, Chris called me back. You guys are shipping me 2 more of the smaller ones, because it seems my 09 uses all four of the same size. Very strange.

any possible way to just get one bushing??? i seemed to have dropped one inside the car some where and dont feel like ripping the interior out of the car right now being that the weather really isnt all that great
