(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  Corksport Steering Wheel With the Veteran's Day Sale Corksport threw, I decided to pick up a new steering wheel. Sure seemed like the hot item as many others did too. Just wanted to share my initial thoughts. I went with the black inserts and red stitching. I do wish a bit that they had done a center line insert at the top of the wheel. In the box the wheel was well secured with foam and packing paper. Forgot to take pics of brown box. The wheel looks and feels high quality. It felt a little stiff and not as "soft touch" as I had imagined out of the box but it feels like fine driving. It looks to be about the same overall diameter of the stock wheel (minus the flat bottom), but it is definitly thicker. I took some pictures but didn't measure. The installation when extremely smooth. Took closer to 45 mins but I wanted to take my time and not scratch anything and also align the airbag better. It was a offset a bit to the left. Corksport's instructions were pretty clear. The only slip up was not tucking the wires for the buttons between the metal frame and the back cover. Incase anyone may have been curious, the stock wheel weighs about 2.4lbs and the CS wheel weighs about 2.5lbs. That is completely bare. Oh, and if you think your wheel doesn't get dirty? Think again. I scrubbed the hell out of it. I plan on not letting the CS wheel get so dirty. The price initially made me shun from it but after doing some research and finding a good steering wheel wrap and getting it installed is about the same cost. Overall it is an awesome piece and is something unique. It makes the steering feel more precise and requires less effort for little corrections. The flat bottom is a nice addition. I wasn't sure what to think of it at first but after driving around for a bit it falls in the hand naturally and doesn't get in the way at all. Thanks Corksport for another great product! Ms6 platform is dead. They also are releasing gen 2 wheel early 2016.
