Default CorkSport TMIC

Some of you may be aware that we are developing a TMIC for the MS3/MS6/CX7. Here are some pics of the assembled unit (one pic shows it sitting on top of the stock IC).

It has fully cast end tanks and a bar and plate core design. The larger cast end tanks keep the stock cast design (which allows for almost completely even flow across the core compared to folded end tanks which can narrow the flow to the middle of the core), but utilize a larger opening and core for increased flow and cooling.

We will be doing some testing and post up more information soon.

We are still doing the testing on these. We have discuss anodizing the intercoolers in the product development meetings. We will get the options finalized out a bit later.

We are shoot for a target price of $459.

We will get the pressure drop specs, dyno results, etc posted up when we have the testing finished up. After the 2nd gen MS3 FMIC is finished it is the high priority.

I'm very interested in this. The build quality looks great. Looking forward to the test results. Thanks!

edit: Does this TMIC retain the use of the OE cover/shroud?

Eager to see how this turns out. I've been saving for an ETS, but now I'll have hold out to see how this compares.

It would be great if it could be covered with the stock shroud. That way when I went in for service it would be nearly undetectible to the mechanics.

Very nice...A good option for people who are not going all out and running a simple bolt on stock turbo setup. Looks like the core is around 3"? If you can fit the stock shroud on this product like the retarded expensive AUTOEXE tmic, that would be huge plus.

Looks gorgeous, I've been thinking about replacing my stock TMIC for some time. I'd be seriously tempted once you've got some performance specs.

Certainly looks good, especially at that price.

Since your FMIC looks a little risky for where I live, this is a great option.

It will be interesting to see how this compares to the other TMIC options out there, can't wait to hear more news.

Looking to replace my TMIC with an aftermarket version. I am most interested in this one because hopefully it will address the short comings of the other companies and yet be competitively priced.

We haven't decided on finishes for the intercooler yet but just plain aluminum will be offered.

We are looking at a price of $459. I am pretty confident this will be what it will go for when released.

Well it seems a Corksport TMIC is definately in my future. I concur with Corvette Tuner, you better make a ton of these.

Another question... How big is the gap between the bottom of the TMIC and the top of the valve cover? From one pic I saw it looked like the two ribs of the valve cover would block air flow as the TMIC was resting directly on them. Could have been just the angle the pic was taken at too.

The spacing looks weird in the in picture. I will see if I can get Jake to give the information on the clearance.

That is the sexiest thing I've seen in a while. Props to making a sick TMIC for Genpu!

ive heard from ets that the shroud on the 1st gen sit lower than the genpus. thats why there were fitment issues on 2nd gen and now you have to specify if you're ordering from 1st or 2nd gen. are there specific products for both gens? how is the seal on 1st gens?

The TMIC was originally built on a 1st gen. We have been working on this project for a while. We did a test fit on our shop 2010 MS3 to see about the fitment which is shown in the pictures. When we do a test fit on a 1st gen again we will get some pictures up.

Wow......what a cool looking tmic. Get er done man as I am in the market to replace my stock tmic in early 2011. Love to have a red annodized one (if the price is reasonable) so my dealership techs won't have to hunt for it. Ha Ha

I am not sure red anodized will be the best stealth color, lol.
