| Not Ranked : 0 score the shit works and fits and i didn't need super nice issue resolution > they had great customer service when i had a problem and all i hear is a bunch of people saying," yea i had problems but they worked with me." and this isn't new. the trend we're seeing is that it takes the ignorance of a brownie or fringe MSFer to actually criticize corksport. but the fact remains they're regularly sending products to market that have flaws which make the parts useless, defective, and/or dangerous for your engine.

Anyone can make a sway bar (ask me how I know lol) but designing new fuel pump internals takes engineering. Not excusing poor QC, as I too would like to see it improved, but again, they are the ones pushing the envelope.

I'll let them handle this one on their own, plus OP is VIP and not blatantly trolling.

and there was the OCC that was first written off as install error. then it was "bad glue". then they re-routed tubing. then they welded the caps. then they just redesigned the whole thing. and the cold air boxes that are laughably impossible to install with their SRIs. and the battery boxes that barely fit. and the air straighteners that get sucked into the intake. i know i'm missing more, but i didn't want to list more than what comes to mind off the top of my head to prove my pont.
there is already a hood strut option. there are myriad catch cans. multiple shift plates. everyone makes an intake. motor mounts. multiple sway bars. camber arms, too. wheel spacers? springs? shocks/struts/coilovers & brake pads are new for the speed vendors, but we have options. they do have the adjustable camber plates. that's good. internals? what, exactly, is "pushing the envelope"? look, i know it sounds like i am, but i'm not bashing corksport. i have a couple of their products on my car. but everyone just needs to slow down on the concept that they're making reliably good parts. because, right now, they're not.

Im looking at cams, new fuel pump internals, a new BPV design, coolant tank, full size battery box. you skipped a lot of stuff that was convenient for you my friend. Oh forgot a divided DP and hood scoop, as well as air ducting.

BOV designed ONLY for this car internals that weren't audi-spec hood scoop (ricey as it may be it sold out immediately) brake kit camber plates they've done quite a bit. There have been problems...lots of them it seems. But besides the lug nuts everything seems to be working now despite the growing pains.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Fitment problem, ok. Call, send it back. Nobody is defending that side. The point is, common sense. Don't modify/fix/adjust/change/hack/etc to make it fit for some car show, then call to expect warranty/credit/a good time. That's where the OP failed and posted here, after posting on facebook (posts deleted now-odd) the same thing restored in the OP. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score i listed camber plates. i forgot the brake kit, you're right. internals don't count as pushing the envelope. CPE, AT, and (gasp) HPFPupgrade already make reliable parts there. cams...lol... if they can't design the simple stuff... NO FREAKING WAY would you get that stuff in my car. seriously, a BOV? hood scoop? that's "pushing the envelope"? you guys are really lowering the bar. intake manifolds, throttle bodies, port injection, pistons, EWG exhaust manifolds that don't leak etc... THAT is pushing the envelope. i'm not trying to take on the forum over these guys. certainly not to save the OP. and i'm not trying to bring down corksport. so i'm not going to argue anymore. i've made my points. it won't change anyone's opinion one way or the other. stay hard, corksport! *edit* they get serious props for the divorced wastegate downpipe. they're the only ones to do it despite the fact it is proven to help control boost creep. it would be cool to see them do a bigger mouth design to allow clearance on aftermarket turbos with IWG.

You're right that its not worth arguing (but again you only used the parts that were valid in your argument omitting the ones that didnt serve your purpose). And Im no a CS fan boy at all, I just dont want to see a lynch mob try and come out for a company that I think is doing good work despite a few problems. Also, I would mention that their parts catalouge is pretty far ranging. Sure you can get coils from company A, and hood struts from company B, and all other parts from C, D and E. But CS makes a shit ton of parts for this platform. Thats impressive to me, but maybe not others. Are they over taxed with this? Maybe.

there's no lynch mob coming for them. rest easy. i think maybe 3 people (including me) actually said something critical of them. i didn't omit anything in my statements either. i didn't list their entire catalog, sure. but as you said, it's pretty extensive. i just think it's worth noting the distinction between pushing the envelope and offering a wide ranging catalog. and, i went back and edited my post to acknowledge the WG design on their DP because it is easily the best design out there. but at this point we're talking semantics and it's not productive to the thread.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I can appreciate the OPs view, it would be frusterating to run into problems. Kim is doing her best within the guidelines she has to do what she can. As for the problems with several recently parts. They all had a common theme internally on our end which was resolved with some employment changes. Last note, the coolant tanks were pulled from the our webpage. It was not from this post but we sold out of them and the part is not going to be offered anymore. -Derrick |

| Not Ranked : 0 score From most of the launches and issues that followed, it's not usually their engineering that is lacking, it's their qa/qc and checking the deliveries from their suppliers. That's why most of their failures have been in products that tested well with prototypes made in house, but then had hardware or quality issues with the mass-produced parts being supplied to them by their production partners and hardware suppliers. Because of that, talking about how they're the only ones pushing isn't really relevant nor does it excuse their other problems. I agree that OP went about things incorrectly and the way the post doesn't make him look too good in this case, but that still doesn't excuse the trend of poor execution on at least the first runs of all their product launches in the last year or two. As was mentioned earlier, good customer service is great and really defines a company, but I would much rather have a product that just works and I never need to find out how good their customer service is. And for that to be the case they need to pay more attention to their quality control process. Edit: except for the OCC, that was just a series of fails from start through the first couple revisions. Exploding OCC is just unacceptable lol but that's why vented can ftw. Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2

| Not Ranked : 0 score Lee, I apologize for your frustration and delays in communication, just in case you did not get the email that I sent as a reply yesterday morning, I will be sending it again after I finish posting here. This was a tricky situation as some of the parts were modified, and I had to get the bottom of what we can or cannot do for you, which I stated in each of the replies sent. We will do our best to come to a resolution on this, because as stated by many previously, we are not perfect, but we are working with what we have to better the Mazda Platform. We will most likely fall short, our QC will get better, and we will continue to make improvements in the future. I copy pasted the last paragraph of the email I sent yesterday morning, as well as this morning: In your final email you had request a discount as a goodwill to get you to come back, I completely understand and appreciate the request, but not one I can honor. I don't think giving a generic discount is indicative of valuing you as the customer. I would prefer to find a way to work with you on a specific part and meet your needs as an individual. Thank you for all you time and I look forward to hearing back from you. Please feel free to give me a call at any time, or shoot me an email if that's more convenient, we will do our best to find some sort of solution on this. Once again I apologize for your frustrations and look forward to working with you towards an apparently quite public resolution. -Kim 360.260.2675 ext 143 |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Had the same issue when installing my Corksport TMIC. Ground down the ridges on the inside of the stock cover per the instructions but noticed gap in the front for the mounting bolts. Got some longer bolts (25mm) to test fitment, measured the gap and machined some nylon spacers (.312") to take up said gap. Hit up Fastenal and ordered stainless steel fender washers and flange bolts to mimic the factory ones. Came out perfectly clean. Am I upset that it wasn't perfect? Not really, I could have used the optional shroud but wanted the stock look. Glad I waited on the hood struts though! JBR's short shifter saved me from ordering those instead. |

Unfortunately I cannot reasonably comply with requests of that nature, but suggest that you mention your problem in SHOUT and see who takes you up on it.

| Not Ranked : 0 score two things to note: 1. the BPV issue was only present in the expanded beta test batch that was sent out. everyone who received one knew that it was a prototype and that there might be issues, they ended up revising the size of the piston before offering it for sale and sent the necessary revised parts to all of the beta testers. In my opinion anyone who brings this up as a failure is just looking for a reason to bitch. 2. Not only is Kim beautiful but smart and apparently a good worker. @Monotonous ONE; you got yourself a real catch there.

| Not Ranked : 0 score My .02, yes Kim at CS you are trying to help within the realm of possibility, but if I were OP, after you repeatedly saying "let us know how we can make it right", then shooting down all his requests, I would be frustrated as well. I feel as though you should proactively offer a resolution strategy rather than just saying you'll work with him to make it right. That is my customer service .02.

While I agree with your intent and overall idea of offering a resolution strategy, in dealing with a situation of this nature, when our normal avenues of resolution are no longer applicable, as well as, with a customer who has already stated they WILL NOT be doing business with us again, there isn't much that can be done as per a resolution. Which is why I solicited his feedback, and he requested an in store credit. Which in turn negates what he had previously stated as not doing business with us again, this allows for a conversation of how we can and hopefully will end on mutually beneficial terms. I could go into further detail as to how this all went down, but just wanted to give my .02 of: Not every customer service issue is straightforward or easily dealt with. Not any single rule applies to all customer service issues. Most of all that in dealing within our specific niche and market, we take things on a case by case basis, because predicting or reacting to individual needs with a generic solution isn't always reasonable or fair. We really do strive to make things right when we are in the wrong, and seek to find a reasonable solution when we have a customer with unique circumstances or situational requests. - Kim

| Not Ranked : 0 score Just noting that I see this, and it looks like Kim is already taking care of the OP. To everyone else and the comments on our Quality Control issues, it is something we are aware of as Derrick has mentioned, and hopefully the corrections we have put in place will prevent further problems. I appreciate everyone understanding that we are committed to the platform and ultimately we just want our cars to drive faster, and be more fun.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Wow, I didn't even realize the fact that he wanted store credit after he said he wasn't going to do business with CS again. I think Kim has a good point, each scenario is different. This one seems like a Catch-22 seeing as there isn't really anything feasible to make the customer happy. Obviously, they're not going to give away parts just because of his modifications. But, I digress... Hopefully you find a mutual solution.

Many of my bolt-on parts are Corksport. They fit perfectly. They perform great. Your customer service and support have always been top notch. Period. Sent from somewhere...but not here.
