If you read a little closer, you'll see that 07-09 is different, they typically run richer because they don't use AFR, just stored tables so they don't have to "react", they just go along as planned.

The idea of these things really intrigues me, but I am still not entirely convinced since I havent seen any logs, unless I missed something. @kritz; (thanks in advance BTW) what RPM have you tried taking these to? Did you self tune these or has someone else done it that can chime in? Has anyone with a BT upgrade tried these out?

Since COBB is working on increasing our RPM programming (hopefully), Im wondering if the weight reduction wont become an issue at high RPM?

This didnt really answer anything new, but i do have some points id like to discuss.

1. "All of this work adds up to an improved piston
volume that is over 8% higher than the Autotech
and more than 50% over factory!"

2. "When other pumps start to loose efficiency
because of their differences in design or
tolerances, the CorkSport internals are just hitting
their stride."

1. "Piston volume" and "flow" are not the same thing, but they are related correct? Piston volume is the measure of clearance volume for compression ratios (im assuming it follows the same logic as a piston engine?), so its not an "8% increase in flow," but likely some other percentage. Having actual flow ratings would be nice, because obviously an increase in piston volume will increase pressure (and flow in your case it seems), but we would still like to actually see it.

2. We've yet to really see other pumps fall off, so again, it does seem your pump has higher pressure but we'd like to see it. I say this as someone who had an APR pump, apparently the smallest overall piston, and took it to 7500 rpms and 480 whp with no issues... Thanks.

Questions on numbers have been asked for weeks. Havnt posted a solid reply A "white paper" gets released and shows NO information outs8de of part measurements. Thats great and all but nobody asked for physical measurements of internals, they/we asked for the tedt by test comparison results with nunbers not percents.
I appreciate that they are tryinf but just want to see numbers of actual tests not random percents

This thing seems to me like its going to give the spill valve a good workout if you don't have your tune dialed in, I just don't see the benefit of increasing the "flow" of a part we are already dialing back to not over work our cdfp... Maybe I'm off base with this, just my .o2

I also turn 7500 rpm (riding the limiter) with autotechs without issue. No odd cam wear or other issues.

Unless my sweet Walmart SuperTech is really that good

Lol @ a micron.

You can get there, with Diamond point turning or precision grinding, but it's $$$ and you might still have to throw out a few.

With a lathe, you would be tossing 90% of your parts.

I appreciate the effort @Joel@CorkSport; but we still need some actual data. Again, without expansion elsewhere in the fuel system, there is no measurable advantage to running the Corksport fuel pump.

the parts have to be cylindrically ground. i believe all internals, including oem's are ground.

Well they are serializing them, so they are probably holding the allowance to a micron, and then pairing as needed.

that was my original question. but it was ducked and dodged and then someone told me it was a diametral...
if they are trying to say they're only leaving 1 micron between the two pieces, that's not going to allow for any lubrication at all, and as soon as they're not in a temperature controlled room that micron accuracy goes to shit.

There is no way the allowance is a micron, the tolerance on it could be a micron with the grinding and part selection.

Zigatapatalka

I am glad to see people understanding that the claimed extra flow will result in zero performance gains and could result in tune and relief valve problems.

The thing I struggle with here is that as it appears there is no difference to these other than a claim. We have asked for the data to quantify your claims, but where is it? Why are these questions blatantly ignored?

I dont want to rip on corksport. I belueve they are a much needed asset to the community, even though I have no corksport products (sorry) BUT I just want the numbers or atleast when a "white paper" is released, the page numbers match the index (ya I know its being picky but its a pet peeve) AND do what a white paper is designed to do, explain in detailed numbers not %'s with no test results included
