Wondering the same thing... |
We have people who have ordered them up, we just need someone to post up a review now. -Derrick |
Would like to hear some input on these, I have an 88duro rmm and an 80 pmm. wondering what these insert duro #'s are and if they would be up to snuff with my other stiffer mounts |
Thanks for showing love to MS6 community. When positive reviews come in and I'll hit you up for these during a sale event. |
seriously, id be all over this but havent heard word one about them and dont want to deal with being disappointed in a new product. |
def have to keep an eye on this! |
guess my wallet just became full of JBR bucks |
Specifying what durometer the inserts are would be nice @CorkSport. I'd be interested in picking up a set and giving a review. |
I'll give you a review, I'm in Corksport's backyard, and my SU mount needs to be replaced. Plus I still have my OEM mount saved shot me a PM. |

has anyone tested this insert on a mount with a 100,000 miles on it? |

If these are anything like the TMM inserts for the speed 3, jump on them immediately...worth every penny. There weren't any additional vibes (I mean that literally) but it cleaned up so much play. |

I wouldn't be surprised if it arrived in time. Should be going USPS 2-3 day. |

I have one sitting in the garage, just waiting to get some free time to install it. It's time for the second round of exams this semester so it might be another week or so. |

Since there's no TMM insert for the gen1 I might get a gen2 TMM (they fit!!) and put the CS insert on it. I think this is the first time when gen1 speed3 falls behind everything else. |

I know, I used the RMM inserts for 2 and a half years (I think 6-7 sets of them all this time) until they released the second version of their RMM. The improvement is relative to the price and still a very good improvement. |
Installed these last night in about an hour. Install is pretty straight forward. I had an extra tranny mount sitting around so I put the inserts in and then just replaced the whole thing. My car has 135k miles on it and the mount had never been changed and felt like it was just getting weaker every day. So this made sense for me to try out. Sorry no pics of the actual install as I did this at 9:30 at night and had to have the car ready for the next morning. So installing like I said is pretty straight forward. Having an extra set of hands might help on lining the tranny back up cause it will shift once the mounts are removed. But I was able to shift it enough to get the bolts started on my own. One thing that is a pita is once the inserts are in they make putting the mount back over them a little bit of a tight fit. Other then that it all went together easily. I have only driven the car about 60 miles today and so far there is some slight vibrations in the pedals. Mostly on deceleration were you completely let off the gas pedal. Its nothing that really puts me off. I have a JBR rmm in 88 duro so it could be a combination of both. Maybe after some more miles it will brake in a little more. Also the weather up here in Spokane is about 30degreese so that could also be affecting it. Shifting is def improved. Feels more solid and the tranny doesnt feel like its flopping around. I havent launched the car hard but will comment again once I have more miles on it and some harder shifting. |
like the guy before me said install is straight foward.... my tranny would rock back and forth like crazy, when i would launch my car it would get wheel hop. I installed the corksport insert went for a ride completely different car shift smooth i launched it and heard the tires spinning no engine movement no wheel hop... its was worth every penny, it feels like i bought a brand new mount. this insert improved the mount way more than what i expected. shipping was quick i got it in 3 days! and the tranny wine is awesome! |

Just finished installing my TMM insert this afternoon. Install took me exactly an hour like the instructions said. My mount had 99k so it was tough to get the inserts installed, I ended up using a small c-clamp to press it in. Getting the mount back on was a breeze as well as lining up the trans again. I took it on a loop around my house to see if I could tell much difference. First impressions are that the shifts feel much smoother than before. I used to feel a "catch" in my 2-3 shift if I was getting on it, that seems to be pretty much gone now. Gives me a lot of confidence to powershift again. Launching the car seems easier as well now that the power isn't being lost with the engine moving around. 1st and 2nd gear have much more pronounced gear whine through the rpm range, but once you get to 3rd it is not noticable. Coasting in neutral, if you go into 2nd or 1st you can hear the synchros winding up to match up the gears. There is a definite increase in transmission noise if you are at a stop and let out the clutch as well. I imagine these noises will subside some as the insert breaks in, but overall they aren't something that can't be overcome by turning the radio up another notch. Overall, it seems like a good purchase for the money. As I put more miles on it I will try to update with any changes I notice. |
Definitely picking these up this next week as I'm longing to start replacing the mm's so this is probably first heck why not |
Just ordered one up today. Thanks for supporting the platform. Thanks - Casey |
I'm surprised you guys noticed vibes/noise...maybe because it's colder now? When I did mine I did not feel any additional NVH at all. Biggest change for me was throttle response, when pushing the pedal there was no waiting for the engine to rock, it was just straight acceleration. |
I will say that the vibes I hear when I let the clutch out is more pronounced when I first start the car, after it comes up to temp it is pretty much gone. I'm currently about 175miles on the insert. The small vibes I felt when revving the car are gone, as I stated above the clutch pedal noise is gone once up to temp, and the gear meshing noise has died down considerably. |
Installed these over the weekend. Took a little over an hour mostly due to how many bolts fell down inside my engine bay :banghead: The bolts on my mount bracket were torqued to hell, so I had to get the impact wrench out. Afterwards, the instructions were great, everything fit well with a little elbow grease (or sticky lube in this case). As others have mentioned, there is noticeably more syncho "whine". I like it though, almost sounds supercharged. I will be ordering a PMM from either CS or JBR now depending on what my research shows. Thanks again for another quality product! - Casey |
Just got mine today! I'll report back when I put it on early next week. |
Can we have some Gen1 love for TMM inserts? |
Just installed mine today, install was okay... however, I noticed that when someone installed my engine...they left out at least one tapered washer and possibly another washer in the front bolt. This worries me that there are other missing bolts and possibly explains the squeaking noise I hear when I break and go over bumps. |
I got the AWR 88 duro and the NVH is absolutely horrible, im gonna take a chance and buy these inserts..i still have my stock TMM |

Not going to be able to get a chance to throw it on this week. Between finals and doing my wheel bearings it's going to be put off til next week or the week after. |
I had a pronounced thump in the driveline when releasing the clutch. I bought the Corksport TMM insert and installed it myself. I needed to take the whole mount off and press the insert in with a vice. Now, there is no more thump, the engine shake is much less and the shifting feels smoother........ Love it! |
That's cool, but did you need to bump a 5 year old thread? |
