Did you oil the filter prior to installation? I've driven in some pretty heavy downpours at 80 mph and never had an issue. Cutting a narrow slot across the hood ducting would completely alleviate the problem, and would evacuate a negligible amount of air.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Be careful with over oiling your filter, you can kill the MAF pretty quickly by doing that.

I've head of that problem but the design of the air filter housing with this kit does a pretty good job of preventing it. The oil hits and gets stuck to the bottom plate of the airbox. Anything that runs off the bottom plate towards the MAF will just run along the outside or the radius in front of the MAF and get harmlessly eaten by the turbo.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I just got a cobb turbo inlet for my 08 speed 3 and when i took off my cobb intake to install the turbo inlet i noticed a little bit of oil splashed inside one of the pipes so I want to get an oil catch can before any major problems arise. Do you guys know if corksport still has issues with their catch can or has it all been resolved? |

| Did OCC can install yesterday. This showed up hour after, cleared it, and it came back again today. My Idle AFR is about 15.75. Is this meaning that I messed up the catch can somehow? : mazda | This thread | Refback | 06-28-2015 11:23 AM | |
