Default Opinions of new upgrades for my speed

hey all, im new to the forums but ive been doing a lot of research lately on new upgrades. I am currently deployed and will be home in 2 more months and just wanted to buy myself a few presents when i get back. I currently have a Cobb SRI and TIH, i have the access port but im not sure if its gonna work or not, see i had a fire and it was in my house in the box and in the case, no fire damage just the box got wet and the tuner itself im just not sure about. If it does work im thinking about buying the Corksport TBE with CAT, FMI, RMM and HPFP. is there any recommendations or input on doing all this or any other parts i should look into first. i want to do everything right. The turbo assembly, hoses and all that stuff was recently replaced due to the smoking turbo problem so i should be good with that atleast for a while

any input would be appreciated thanks
justin

I would recommend that you get a restrictor bolt installed on the turbo before installing a catless downpipe. Or else the smokey turbo will haunt you once again!

Turbo Oil Restrictor Banjo Bolt | Damond Motorsports
Install guide: How-To: Install oil restrictor bolt (complete guide)

You may also want to block the EGR to keep the valves cleaner. EGR Block Off
And an Oil Catch Can is a good investment. TIGs are also good to keep the heat away from the throttle body and manifold

And ofc an E-Tune!!

Fuel pump internals before downpipe. You won't get much out of a CBE until you get to higher power levels.
I would go internals, downpipe or testpipe, TMIC or FMIC.
If the AP is still good. If not, new AP.

thank you, i read that the DP with a CAT is less likely to have the smokey turbo or atleast show that its there, I live in an area with emissions so I need the CAT, if its still a good investment I will buy it. ill look at the receipt from when I had the turbo replaced and see if they replaced the banjo bolt as well.

whats the purpose of the egr valve delete?

for the exhaust I know I wont see much of a gain per say I just like the way it sounds and I have the money for it now so I figured id get the whole system.

I am aware and im not disputing that at all that's why I said that I was buying them, I was looking more for an answer whether or not all those parts will work together and not cause an issue, that and if there was anything else people would recommend as far as parts...besides what I had already written in my first post

so after reading your posts and reading the link, I think ill go with the RMM, internals and make sure that my ap still works, ill buy the racepipe to delete the second CAT and run a corksport CBE (wanting a more deep tone rather than looking at gains) and the corksport front mount intercooler.

the purpose of the egr delete is to keep the egr valve from dumping exhaust gas back into your intake manifold and clogging it up with carbon. You do not however need an egr delete kit, you can just unplug the egr connector and it disables the valve, then you just remove the code in ATR and voila, no more CEL.

I know there was an old thread discussion based around this, but I don't remember if anyone ever concluded that it would work just the same. Are you running it like this?

I am running stock cat back with race pipe and I like the sound adds a little more rumble but not that much. Doesn't really drone. I will probably never get a cat back, I am past the point where I could care less how my car sounds. I just don't want it to be loud, fuck I must getting old.
