It just seems to be that answers have yet to be given before we can clearly choose these over others that primarily focus on this area as their bread and butter biz. Cost is really not that far off to make a clear choice between yours and other companies.

These struts and shocks were tested on quite a few cars and are based around the same quality of materials as our Mazda 2 struts and shocks were which we tested extensively before entering this market. As far as the warranty is concerned, these are a wear item and we are not a huge company that can absorb the cost of covering them for the lifetime.
A large company like Bilstein or Koni is betting that 99% or more of all purchasers will never take advantage of the warranty or will move on to a different car. We already have a few of these sets out in the wild and are seeing very happy customers.

Look I'm not doubting your reputation or the quality of these products but could you be any more vague. I feel like I'm watching Ryan Braun answering questions about PED's. I would assume that if someone created a killer product they'd be out here showing off how & why it's fantastic and backing it all up with facts.

So far I've seen you sidestep & avoid certain questions while answering others. I'm fairly new to this place so I apologize if I'm out of line but I've never bought a Corksport product yet and I was looking for some sense of assurance that these are quality and not just a $500 2yr rental part.

I'll shut up now and watch to see if any more developments unfold. Sorry for sounding like a dick.

I can confirm the fitment on these if we can get the ID of the sleeves they use for the fronts. It does not list it at the link.

Primary candidates are bilstein b6 and b8 right now.

Why would you not want to share dyno numbers. Those numbers could shape someone's choice. Someone that just dd there car might not car but to people like me who race there car a lot I want to see this kind of data. I will not be buying a set of these but I am sure there are others in my situation that might if the dyno numbers showed they would serve there purposes

Probably for the same reasons that some of the large manufacturers don't share their dyno plots for.... although not sure why they don't either. Derrick, are dyno plots secret so the design can't be stolen?

The companies I've spoken to don't share full plot data, but will share a set or subset of points describing at least the low speed damping characteristics.

I already have some rebound damping data from Derrick for these guys, and I'm giving him some time to look over the my numbers and confirm before I post comparisons between these and the two other popular competitors- B8's & Koni's.

Hang on guys, data is coming.

Donovan from GC should be giving me a call soon. I hope to have this info soon.

If memory serves me right, didn't the B8's & B6's share the same valving, but the B8's had a different shaft. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I tried calling BilsteinUS HQ earlier today, but their tech folks must have snuck out early for the holiday. Take a lesson, Corksport?

Also are these same overall length as stock or will ride height be slightly altered?

You do not have to remove the struts, you and adjust them installed on the rears. You just have to reach inside the wheel well to reach the adjuster at the top of the shock.

According to Donovan @ GC, the sleeve ID is 53mm, and just for reference is sits about 60mm deep on the shock body.

Nice to see this. The only problem I can see is making sure the test results are done the same way to make sure the comparisons are the same.

This has been brought up in racing with the Spec Miata Bilsteins on another forum, a write up was done on it at this link

That's a very valid point, and a very good link.

Another thing to consider is the Bilstein tech have told me on a number of occasions, the numbers they provided me are design data- and that the actual product was design to be within a 10% tolerance of the figures provided.

Unfortunately, design numbers are the most useful tools we have for comparing shocks- besides listening to some guy on the internet, like me.

Who tested these, customers? Thought I asked this one but again how long was the testing done for? Your lugs were tested for almost a year iirc before production and well I'll just end right there. Quite a few is pretty vague, are we talking more than 5 less than 10?

If I want any info on your bpv I can find it out by talking with testers of it. If I wanted to learn more about your fuel pump internals I have a 3 part series blog that told me how it is/was better. Then we'll have to wait for customer reviews on those for more feedback. These are more like "hey we got some shocks and struts. We aren't going to supply you with any data or beta tester(s) feedback, just trust us these kick ass based off the mazda 2 design."

But I understand it's your show and sounds like unless we pay for them most of this info is a secret , even then who knows.

I will give you some background on the design and idea. Several years ago we looked at what was available for the Mazdaspeed 3 for adjustable shocks and we decided to get our hat in the ring. We knew we could do better on the price and get something to the market which you guys would like. One thing we wanted to make sure of was the durability so we started out with the Mazda 2 to ensure the design of the strut/shock was sound and would result in a trouble free product. With the 2 using a strut front shock rear setup it was a good place to start. I personally got to drive the crap out of the 2 shocks to see how they would do before we started a production run of them. Fast forward and we the 2 shocks are doing great on the market, no problems with the design of the dampers and only a few questions and concerns came up with some of the installation instructions which we made adjustments.

We decided to proceed with the Mazdaspeed 3 shocks and went to work on getting the test sets built and installed for testing. We used the design we had experience with in Mazda 2 since it worked great. We did our testing with the dampers and the results are what we wanted to we proceeded with production.

As for springing this on the community we do not always share what we are working on in the public. This is one of those products which we chose to not to do (there are more). There are forums members which knew about these and if they choose to post about them that is up to them. I have asked the people who have them to post up if they choose to and I will leave that up to them.

You brought up a good point about the previous release of the CS coilovers and the technical white sheet provided. AFAIK, your company went out of it's way to release technical info and dyno data that no one else has provided- and the community hasn't done anything with it. I can understand why you might not be forthcoming about additional information about this new product.

However, if your still on the clock, answer me one final question. For both the CS Coilovers white papers and the data that you gave me for the new adjustable suspension- what was the force unit of measure? Specifically I need the missing part here: Kgf*?? - could be cm,m,dm , etc. After this, go home, relax and enjoy your vacation.

I'll shoot you all the information I have sometime on Monday.

I wasn't asking about members who were privi'ed to the knowledge of these before release or the people just now running them. I was looking for feedback from users/testers that have already run these over a long period of time that you claim in your previous posts. But it seems as though that information again is a secret or is withheld. If there are users on here that fall into that boat but have yet to really give their review since the OP, that seems out of the ordinary for msf users.

Either way I'm not looking to shit on these or half the other parts on my car that are corksport. I just would like to see 3rd party feedback.

With the challenges we have had on a few of our past parts I can understand your request on the additional information from users. We are leaving it up to people to give the feedback.

im thinking these shocks + cs camber plates and a set of swift springs is gonna be way more comfortable plus less maintenance and easier setup than most of the coilovers on the market... not to mention cheaper. ive had experience with koni yellows on other cars and liked them but the cs definitely appear to be nicer quality.
