I like it a lot. Looks really good and I like how you can adjust pretty much everything!

Going to have to see some reviews and such and may have to look into purchasing this later on!

One question I have.

Do you run into issues similar to the short shift plate that locks you out of gear at higher RPM? As in like 7500 or higher.

I had a big issue with my SSP where I would get "lockout" in higher RPMs/FFS. As soon as I took off the SSP the "lockout" issues went away. It was more of the SSP not letting the transmission go fully into gear then an actual "lockout"

I had the same problem as PapaSmurf. My nice CS SSP is sitting in my tool box unused and sad because of that reason.

That wasnt the question, no doubt that Corksport is better 120%, but I am still interested as I have a TWM Full Replacement....want to get rid of that slight slop it has.

Ive been beating this shifter up for a few weeks now.....

All the factory slop in the shifter is gone, and throws are much more precise and obviously shorter. I have yet to experience any high rpm ffs lockout also. Theres a huge difference in running this vs the ssp, as i ditched the ssp early last year, and have been using the stock shifter assembly since installing this. I have mine set for the lowest and shortest throw, and after spending about 15 mnutes adjusting the cable, i can say its where i want it to be.


I will be punishing this at Epic next weekend, anyone in attendance is more than welcome to see and feel it for themselves.

I see the two different installations for the 2010-2011 and 2012-2013 were there any major differences other than what I can see in the pictures for them?

@DookieMuncher; How do you like the left/right position of the shift knob? As the shifter arm is straight rather than having the offset to the dirver side like the factory, did you notice any issues caused by that?

That is the one thing that would make me hesitate on buying a shifter of this nature.

I find its more in the middle as opposed to the factory positioning.
But also keep in mind after cable adjustments it may be different for you.

Edit: Disregard just looked at specs, and the lowest it can be is 1" lower than stock. Do not think that would cause any sloppiness.

Only concern in my mind is related to a problem I had in the past with a short shift solution on my Mazda 6.

The throw is shortened by moving the anchor point of the cable further up the assembly...but I'm how much stress that puts on the cable where it attaches to the shifter base.

I've seen the bracket that holds the cable on the base break on some Mazda 6's that used a similar method to shorten throw.

Can someone address this concern so I can spend more money? lol
