Pu grill insert - do it, make bank

The prolific hood scoop sales indicate we have a rather prodigious group of closet ricers. The replacement grill insert is the next obvious item to cash in on - and with JBR slated to unleash his TR6/8 compatible composite piping kit maybe Summer-ish, you'd do well to give us something to show off those FMICs and get them additional air.

$300-350 maybe for a price point? Can you do it? I haven't seen any progress from JTMS3 and I'm hoping his health is good but we need someone with mass marketing potential to step up to the plate.

Would be pretty cool to see, I do hope to see JTMS3 back and in good health as he was making really good progress on his insert. I will have a FMIC sooner or later and would like something that helps to show it off and make is more beneficial as compared to the stock one. Even if it is a bitch to remove the stock on from the grill.

My template won't arrive till Friday, so don't expect grill pron any time too soon. The gist here is horizontal upper member with two vertical supports to the lower lip and black mesh insert. Nothing fancy, just trying to optimize airflow and show off a FMIC with nice fit and finish.

I'll do what I can to help you by invoking Murphy's Law...I'll go get my grill painted VRM so that, by the time it's finished and re-installed, you'll be producing your grill and I'll have to buy, paint, and install all over again. ;-)

I have my old grill insert hanging on my wall in my living room, I keep looking at it wondering if I can cut it up to make it look better for FMIC, then I decide nope, I will just let someone else do it.

It's all about learning to use Murphy and his blasted laws to the benefit of others. This one may not work since, in a very roundabout way, it results in something that I desire; but we'll give it a go and see what floats to the surface.

I would much rather you finish what you started because I know you're a great fiberglass craftsman, but your health is more important to all of us. I hope you're well enough to get this project done just in case I fail - the Pu needs facelift options.

I'm not near the finish line but I'm far from a giving up stage. Progress continues but the two design idea has been put to bed which will help get this finalized quicker.
