Default Ram Intake

Has anyone installed or seen the Ram Intake package installed, I was thinking about getting it, but I was worried about water getting sucked in during a rain storm. The last thing I want is the engine hydro-locking.

you fail at reading your welcome message brownie.

I've used this intake before and I'll say that there are better options. The MAF housing isn't the greatest and doesn't read air flow the best. Also the flowpath for the airbox I don't think there was a lot of thought put into that. It rams in, then flows backwards then around a tight elbow to the maf housing and TIP. Filter gets dirty and needs a lot of cleaning/replacement. SRI's flow a lot better.

We have a lot of people running these, we even ran one on our 2010 MS3 before it was totaled for a long time. Up here in the lovely Pacific Northwest were we practically live in a rainforest we never ran into hydro-lock issues. It's honestly never even been a concern. Personally I like the SRI version better, but that's just because of the access to the top of the Engine that I like. Easier to reach everything behind and on top and in the engine.
