Single piece Spring Retainer Tappet ?

I just got the internals and found the tappet and spring retainer to be one solid piece. The directions and pictures have not been changed/updated and they still included the installation pipe and tool with the kit. Of course I found no use for them. Am I missing something ? or did CS just slip an upgrade in there without bragging about it ?

We slipped an upgrade in without mentioning it.... not really an upgrade just a simpler install. You should slide the piston into the retainer and tappet, then set it in the tool and still pop it further into place until you cant remove the piston from the retainer and tappet.

I'll try and see if we can update the install instructions.

Well that's not good because its already installed. It was under good tension with the spring and seemed secure. I figure the cam would do the tapping for me at this point and drive it the rest of the way down ...right ? or should I pull it out and make sure ?

Well it's only your fueling system, so I'd just guess it's fine and move on. No potential for ZZB or anything.

The cam will do the job for you. We already chatted about this, but I want others to see that it shouldn't be an issue if they did the same thing. The pressure from inside the pump will seal it for you.
