My only input here based on personal experience is Corksport should really think about including new blue OEM o-rings and explaining to customers to be very careful with the 3 grommets and o-ring on the rail side (maybe have a exploded diagram in the instructions) and very careful explanation about how important they are.

The grommets have to go in a particular order and it's easy to get them out of shape when the injectors come out of the fuel rail. The o-ring and grommets are a very important part of the whole sealing bit and loading the injector down in the bore so that the injector has no upward movement.

One of my aftermarket CP-E seals ended up leaking around the sides, but I don't blame the seals. I think the o-ring and grommets in the rail gave enough play for the injector to lift to allow a little blow by around the seal.

To summarize, anyone who installs these needs to be very careful of the rail side of the injector too during block side seal removal/install.

EDIT: I'm fucking retarded. Although everyone should be very careful with the rail side seals/grommets and replace them as needed during block seal change out, the injector is independently held to the block from the fuel rail.... So, I must have just picked up a shitty CP-E seal.

I saw you mention this the other day when you pulled your CP-E seals. I passed that thread along to one of our engineers to see what they thought. I honestly haven't seen this with anyone elses o-rings and grommets, but that doesn't mean it isn't true, just undocumented and or I can't find it.

The injector is held down by the crows foot. Not pressure on the oring from the rail.

The mazda manual does recommend replacing all four, although the top retainer and blue o ring should be the only ones that may need replacing. The bottom two are just spacers and dont see any fuel or pressure. I picked up some used ones and two of the top retainers were very soft and brittle. When I went to remove one it basically broke in half. I will be sending out the injectors to precisionline in Canada for cleaning and will be ordering new o rings and retainer for all four. They are cheaper there than from the dealer.

Would be a good time to install some new seals too....cough....cough

Goddamnit... Fuck... Of course they do. Ok, scratch that, I had a shitty CP-E seal. In my mind I swore those studs held the rail and injectors on like regular injector rails. Scratch that. -1,000 points for me. I got a shitty CP-E seal then. All the more reason to go Corksport. FML. My earlier post updated with my retardedness.
