Thumbs up You make a convincing argument...

Ordered HPFP last week; my special request was for CS to explain to my fiancé why she should be excited about all of my Corksport purchases. This is how @CorkSport Vincent; honored that request...

If this doesn't convince her, nothing will! Thanks, Vincent & CS, for being awesome!

Anyway, congrats on the parts can't go wrong with CS.

Yeah I know most people say that but I guess the power not falling off after 5500 rpms anymore is what I mean by feel the difference but everyone has their own opinion

Got 'em in last night...was raining so I haven't had a chance to really give it any runs to see if the top-end magically feels any different, but I'm quite pleased to not have seen any signs of leaking or other issues. I had been really nervous for quite some time about doing this install, out of fear of ruining my HPFP or something else with the fuel system, but the instructions from CS were, as always, quite good and the tutorial video they posted (which I watched a few times even before making the purchase) was a tremendous help and really eased my fears about the difficulty of this job. Just took my time with each step and it went pretty smoothly, overall; toughest part was that the stock piston was gummed up and did not want to separate from the sleeve in order to be removed from the seal screw...almost surprised that it wasn't giving me any flow issues with how sticky it actually was. Next up..more airflow mods!

You aren't going to feel anything at all dude so don't get your hopes up. The car doesn't fall on it's face at 5500rpm due to inability to supply fuel demands, it's all in the tune. The fuel pump internals simply ensure that you can meet the fuel demands of increasing air flow with other modifications and tuning. As stated above, you simply purchased a necessary evil. But again, congrats and awesome job on Vicent with the letter.

Yeah, I'm not really expecting it to feel very different other than possibly some placebo effect, but now I can confidently move ahead with some of my next planned mods before getting an e-tune. If only I felt that the DP was something I could realistically swap myself but, alas, I am about 0% confident that changing that stubborn sumbitch is within my abilities.

Haha, I love the letter. Just make a bunch of blank ones with CS letterhead in case you need to justify anything else!

The only reason it will feel faster is you worked on your car. Mines always faster after I change the oil, rotate the tires, etc :-)

I feel bad this thread went this way (getting soft with my old age).

This thread was positive and reassures me Corksport is an awesome company that continues to be there for us.

I also appreciate new guys still eager to mod and build this platform. This thread should have focused on that, I suppose.

To the new guys, be careful about spreading misinformation on this forum. Although saying things like "feel the difference" referring to hpfp internals seems harmless, it waters down this knowledge base and creates idiots that spout that information off like it is fact.

OP congrats on the internals, now you can really start to have fun.

3" or bigger intake, racepipe, tune, FUN!!!

Yup! It's the goofy/small things like this that CS does that helped turned me into one of their fanbois.

Thanks! Definitely excited to do a few more mods and then get a proper tune instead of this Cobb OTS stuff I've been using...RP is next on the list, a new TMIC and possibly CBE at some point. I'd like to change the DP but, as I mentioned above, I'm not particularly confident that I could actually get it done properly on my own...sounds like a real big PITA. No immediate plans to upgrade the intake (currently running CS SRI/TIP) but maybe sometime down the road if I do a new turbo....

@CorkSport;

First off, I'm going to thread jack.

Okay now I would like to thank @CorkSport; and Luke that I was able to buy all the parts that i need even though you don't normally sell them separately. I got my donut gaskets and all the hardware necessary for my DP yesterday. But, Luke messed up. He messed up big time.

I asked if he can get @Kim@CorkSport; to reply to my love letter. I was excited to open the package only to be disappointed that there was no love letter..... Much sad was had that night.
