Addiction

I have an addiction.

I am a student and work 20 hours a week. When I'm not spending my money on my car payments and insurance, I am spending it on taking my gf out and car ( more on car than gf) leaving me low by the end of every 2 weeks (pay schedule). I keep telling my self that I'll start saving , but it seems impossible because my eyes are always on a new mod, or replacing worn out parts on the car. I'm even looking for a second job to help fund my addiction.

Have any of you overcome this bank digit killing habit ?

Ditch the girl, stop modding for now and focus on finishing school. Then get a nice job that will pay you enough to mod your car, have a chick, and save a little dough on the side.

Buy a 670hp Roush and then you don't have to worry about power mods. All I need to do is tighten up the chassis for handling. It has enough power.

Unless you have an addiction.... you get used to it. I had my car at 500hp for 4 months and im already used to it and need more. Then again i also think drugs are awesome so .....yea.

A bit of advice from someone who used to spend all money on mods. DON'T DO IT.

I went back to school in late 20's and it was hard not having a lot of money. However, now that I am graduating with a CS degree I make more part time than I ever made full time lol. I also have a full time salaried position lined up. Now, I can afford a nice house with my wife, get a nicer daily and have money to spare on the speed. It feels nice!

Keep going to school, do some small mods, take vacations, have your girl split the cost of going out (you are not her daddy, and you can take her out a few times a year). You actually reminded me off my ex she expected me to pay for everything, she was a total bitch.


@monkey.bones.007; how is the tech field in Colorado? A lot of software jobs? I will be job searching in a year or so, when I get some experience at my place.
