Yes there will be a little more lag. We tried to keep the exhaust clip to a minumum but the EGT's and surge were getting to be to much of a hassle. Bigger clip means more lag, but its not bad.

16g Im guessing yes. The evo9 on the other hand is pretty big. I doubt it will flow that much. The evo9 turbo is good for 28psi and 450whp. I dont see that happening with the mazda turbo. The cover is just to small.

Dude what kind of turbo does the 9 come with? I was looking at evo 9 and the dealer wanted 36k for it. So i ran out of dealership as fastest i could and went to the mazda dealer. I soon as i saw the calipers on the ms3 i was sold. Unlike the crappy 2006 wrx 4pot brakes.

Not sure, I would have to say no because of the AFR's at stock boost levels with the stock turbo. They could use some cleaing up and the additional air flow would help with that.

If you want to really run some boost then yes additional fuel and more likely then not a piggy back of some sort to get the "most" out of the modded turbo. Only time will tell and I have 3 of the biggest modders of the MS3 getting these turbos first for testing. 311, Laloosh and myself. Between the 3 of us we should be albe to figure something out.

Pictures are up of the SRT modded, stock and the MS3 stock turbos. We are hoping to get something from Garrett for the upgrade, they are better, readily avaliable and cost way less then the Mitsu stuff.

Flow is going to be close to the Evo 16g stuff.

It can be made bigger with the proper tools.

I don't think that 450 will happen but I thought that 400 would never happen with the SRT4 SST, it has now...

I would love to get this done...I am in san Diego and new to the forum so I may have missed the pertinent info on price of this upgrade and all.....but if its free I am willing to doit no matter what the downtime...just as long as it does not exceed a month

I would say get back to us in 2 weeks. We will have a date and at least 2 cars running them.

At this time I am going to say around $600 for the turbo upgrade and $200 for the turbine housing upgrade. More or less $800 for both items.

Thank you, that means we have 7 turbo to get done guys. This is going to really wake your cars up with more volume running into the motor. No need to run as much boost in order to get good numbers.
