(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I have feeling it was not assembled correctly and might try to get a refund. On the v1 the spring is on the small nipple side, and piston faces the large opening, the v2 i got is the other way around. Also, when I touch the piston from the intercooler opening it moves about inside the valve. Plus, the piston seems to have some deep groves... Anyone with this valve can verify if this is normal? PS. This is not an actual picture, I found it online. Edit: After looking at this picture and thinking about how the valve should operate it is definitely not assembled correctly. Small nipple is where vacuum sucks the piston and opens the valve allowing the charge pipes to vent. The way my valve is assembled the spring is on the wrong side. I hope I'm stupid and wrong......but this will be the first and last time I buy anything from FB.... Edit 2: Added photos of the valve I received.

| Not Ranked : 0 score It assembled correctly. I was the one who sold it to you. It came off the car in working order. I've serviced it twice while I had it and there were no issued whatsoever. Also, that's why there is an extra piston with it as well, as when I bought it, it came with a service kit. So before blasting out how you might want a refund, let's try to work this out. And you responded via messenger late last night so next time try and wait for a response please.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I uninstalled this from AJ's car and it was in perfect working order. Either you took it apart and and screwed it up, or it's perfectly fine. You pick OP.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I did not open the valve at all. It seems super odd but I know the design is different. As I said I hope I am wrong and valve is actually good. Unfortunately, forge doesn't have a link to the documentation. I emailed forge and will see what they say. I probably would not even worry if the Piston did not have deep scratch marks...as that's when I started looking. It is also odd that the Piston moves around in the chamber. I made the post hoping someone other than previous owner has a forge v2 and could clear it up for me. There is no reason I should trust the seller if I think something is not right with the item.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Again in this case the spring would be on the small nipple side, which is not the case in the bpv i received. My understanding is: 1. Small nipple is where there is vacuum when we let off the gas, therefore the spring should be on that side. 2. In this particular BPV the seal should be made at the outlet to the intake, the valve I have the top of the piston is facing the small nipple. The instructions I found on forge site are kind of unclear and vague. I hope I hear from them today. PS. I am pretty sure the seller is not trying to screw me over here. As he is responsive to messages and even posted here. I'm just trying to clear it up as it seems odd to me the way it is assembled now.

| Not Ranked : 0 score The pistons small side goes twards the discharge to the intake, the springs go on the nipple side and shims go in the piston. Grease it up with red synthetic grease and do the pen test. I have no clue what you uploaded there. When some one says i bought some shit and i think its fucked up the very next thing that op should of done is taken some pictures to accompany his post. Otherwise all i see is a wall of text.

| Not Ranked : 0 score The piston is backwards, just unthread the outlet piece and flip the piston around so the spring sits inside the "Cup" of the piston and orient the cup towards the vacuum nipple, with the small side of the piston sealing against the o-ring of the outlet (where bpv to TIP hose attaches). Regrease it while you're in there.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score ![]() Opened the valve. Piston had some scoring and it in fact was installed backwards. Shit happens haha. The bpv itself looks fine and looks like no damage was done it, other than marks from piston touching the nipple side, which should not affect the function. Seller included a rebuilt kit so, I will replace gaskets, piston, lube it and test it next week. If it's all good then it all worked out in the end. If anyone needs info in the future Order of assembly: Small Nipple side > spring > piston > cover. The smaller side of piston facing intake opening.
