Default CP-e RMM price increase
Just as a heads up to anyone in the market for a cp-e RMM, either 60 or 75 duro. The new price is $239.

Mazda3 / MazdaSPEED3 Engine Mount | Custom Performance Engineering

I just called them up and was told by the customer service representative that it is not a mistake but rather an adjustment in price.

I don't recall there ever being a mention of an introductory price for the RMM at Cp-e--I just recall them being out of stock for a while.

Not just that - their xflex mounts are $321 for the driver's side and $350 for the passenger side mounts. Almost $700 for fucking engine mounts.

Looks like I'm never going to buy a cp-e product ever again unless I give up eating for a couple of weeks.

edit: Also gonna order the fuel pump internals from someone else because I'd rather not support a company that charges out the ass for things like engine mounts. They just went from "pricey but worth it" to "you could pay a design company to design, fabricate, and produce parts for you for less" in my book.

I just got off the phone to wth them.Lady said price went up because of the demand.. Well I guess they will loose customers and the demand with a high price like that.. Fuck That Shit

RPM seems to have them for $132.05. I guess I better jump on that, quick...or go with the Sure through Street Unit. I'm actually leaning towards the Sure RMM

WOW hahah...I mean cp-e is known for steep prices good products..but Dam.

When I got my 60 duro rmm in 2009, it was like 100 bucks lol.

But yeah thats FUCKING crazy....well guess it matches their other mounts now.....ever since Jake left, Cpe doesnt seem to have that same mazda customer service vibe like it used to. Maybe im wrong.

That is absurd. No reason to buy the cp-e mount, you can almost buy two of any other mount. I got the street unit one and its held up great for 20k miles.

Are they fucking serious? all of the other mounts on the market don't cost more than $140. that is just pain highway robbery.

With just finding this out i might want to sell/trade my cp-e inlet and sri, just to not support their outrageous ways.

If it was a redesigned mount or brand new design I could see a price change....

But that is outrageous that they think its ok to hike the price up about 100 bux

They must really want people to try out Sure (and another new mount that just came out cant remember the name)

Thats a ridiculous price increase. I went ahead and just ordered it from RPM today, before they decide to adjust the price too. 75 Duro is the best bet right? Also wtf? I called CP-E today and all I got was a voicemail, I'm trying to find out when I'll be getting the SRI I just ordered from them last week! Guess I'll try calling again tomorrow since they are probably closed by now.

You were lucky to get one because they only had a few in stock. When i spoke to Josh about the tmic rubbing/fitment fiasco that was going on not too long ago, I inquired about the RMM and when they would be back in stock--his response was that they would not be in anytime soon.

I guess they were waiting for the price increase.

We'll see how the market adjusts to this. They say it's all about demand. And they probably believe revenue will remain the same with what they think will be slightly lower demand with this new higher pricing. If I remember price elasticity of demand from my college MKTG classes, perhaps they thought that demand for their product is inelastic. But with plenty of competitors in the market, unless they can differentiate their product so much to where their technology is worth the premium then what they will see as a result of this price hike is more of price elasticity related to the demand of their product. Demand will fall more than they planned and so will their revenues for this part.

I guess they don't understand economics. Supply vs demand. If you can't keep up the supply for the demand, increase the price slightly to decrease demand (to give you time to keep up) not fucking increase the price to ferrari standards to cease demand and give your company a bad name by having your loyal customers hate you.

I'm a big cp-e fan, and personally drove to the shop to pick up my ordered parts so that I could visit with them and get a sense of the company.

From what little engineering knowledge I remember from Grad School, I think their products are better engineered than the competition and are worth a few extra dollars. I have yet to be disappointed by a cp-e product.

With that being said, not sure how strong cp-e is on economics. I want to believe that there is a valid reason for this massive 72% increase in price. Not sure what the hell that could be, but am willing to listen.

wow...that is absolutely insane. I love everything that cp-e does for our cars but I can't imagine another $100 hike up in price for the same damn thing is before. Hopefully they don't jump the price on everything..At this rate they are going to lose a shit load of business..
