You used it as an adverb modifying an adjective...not as a noun.

Also.. does anyone know if they were using rubber on the original mounts too? I never looked at them myself on their site until now but they mention using rubber as it with stands heat more than urethane. Can't imagine that change resulting in the 73% overall increase.

I mean, they do make a great mount. Not $240+shipping great, but it is a very good design. That being said I'm not buying anything from them after the price increase. As far as a pump I'm gonna wait and see what happens with the new coating KMD is working on and then make a decision - I was holding out for cp-e but after this no way. This makes me think they're getting out of the mazdaspeed market honestly. We'll see what happens but this does not bode well in my mind.

| Still no response from them? This is hard to justify why this increase in mount prices. What else has increased?

Could also be that the new borgwarner AFR turbos are making a lot of that stuff redundant - the design is really amazing from what I've been hearing. Scrolls faster than other turbos, eliminates the need for EWG (has a bitchin IWG), etc. Leen from steedspeed can adapt faster with his build process than cp-e seems to be able to - CNC vs. casting. Plus he offers some amazing prices and his manifolds are damn near indestructible. I don't know though, I am ignorant to what it requires to produce stuff en masse so I imagine that even once all of the designs are finalized they have to look around to see who can supply what they need in the quantity that they need at a price that they are comfortable with. They have resources though so it's not impossible to get it done quickly. We will see. As far as R&D for injector seals - silverdemon did that so their development cost was $free I honestly can't see the R&D for a TMIC being that much. You use mazda's basic design + bigger openings on the endtanks and a bigger core. If you can weld, then you can build one for the price of a core+the price of endtanks. I mean, ETS has two different models for gen 1 and gen 2 - not just shrouds either - and they've been doing this for some time. CP-E's in comparison doesn't seem very well thought out even if it does flow just as well (which would mostly be a product of the size and design of the core IMO) Plus there wasn't the usual two year hype buildup prior to the release.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Everybody has been swinging from cp-e's nuts for awhile now. They must have realized and figured that they will more than make up for the sales they lost with the increased profit from the sales they still have. I know nothing about building RMMs but there is no way a change in bushing manufacturer costs them $100 more a unit, they are profiting more per unit than they did before - period. Unfortunately for them, there is now more options for parts in the mazdaspeed community than ever and with Cobb back in the game they no longer can enjoy their little monopoly. However, I am sure there will still be those who get their band new mazdaspeed and bring it right to cp-e to have the works done to it just because of the reputation of their products.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Wow...by raising the price on ONE product, Cp-e has lost many customers according to this thread. Ouch...I agree with Giggles, I can see a typical response of well due to higher cost of raw materials or to deliver better customer service lol...blah blah. Cp-e has been a good company for us for the most part. I will say 3 products is what keeps them apart from others- Standback BT inlet fuel pump Sure they make other stuff-intakes,fmic,mounts, but so do alot of other companies, and good ones at that. The SB really was the first true tuning solution for the mazdaspeed iirc. Someone going BT can always fab thier own inlet, but its convienent that cpe has the whale penis, so alot of us go with that. And last but not least is thier fuel pump, highly regarded as the best in the busniess, this is the pump you get when money isnt a big deal, and you want to make aboslute sure you dont fuel cut. But Cobb's AP is making huge gains and is progressing quite nicely. Also companies like SURE and Corksport are making more products for this car, other companies like Full Race are trying to jump in on the action. So I guess my point is, cp-e isnt the only game in town, and prably need to be more carefull on adjusting thier prices, because their are other options out there, and most just as good. This is America, people can buy what they want, companies can charge what they want, I as a consumer will always look at quality first, then price, then with 2 products being equal, I then go with the lower price. Hopefully this practice does not continue with other current cpe product line. Time will tell.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I lol'd pretty damn hard. it's the damn oil that goes into making rubber they jacked the price because they have a backlog of orders...which they had because they were out of stock. in theory, the price should be $69 in a month or two |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Wow. That is messed up. CP-E must be hard up for money or something. That price increase is ridiculous for something that has not changed.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I was going to, but that would require me to "like" cp-e first. No thanks. A few people have, but no response yet...

| Not Ranked : 0 score Cpe makes great parts for our cars and we do pay a premium for them. I hope Cpe has a good response for this price increase. They surely can't think people will pay these prices? I hope we aren't on our way to losing another vendor. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score the price increase is probably to cover money owed on production of the over priced side mounts that are selling slower than expected

| Not Ranked : 0 score i don't think this is happening... without msf, cpe's market will be completely polarized. they need us, and cpe would like to think that msf needs cpe, though i'm not certain of that short of the fuel pump and this bt kit... two weeks... |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score If it hadn't been for that damn fuel pump I would have peaced the fuck out earlier. I am keeping my hpfp order open but I am going to order internals with a glimmer of hope that the cp-e fuel pump will make it's way to my front door in the next 2 weeks.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I agree 100%. I have a lot of their parts for a reason. There quality and warranty is really good. I am happy to pay a premium for their parts, but to go increasing their prices on a product that has been out for years at a price other companies also charge is ridiculous. And $100? That's a huge increase. I really truly think they must be hurting for money and are just looking to keep afloat. I cant think of why else they would do it. Problem is that raising costs will not necessarily increase profits as the demand will now drop. Maybe people will still pay the cost though, who knows. I do know though that I would have gotten SURE products if they had been around earlier as they quality looks equal and pricing is good.
