I had $15000 saved up to go back to school full time for 9 months. Then I landed a $10k grant, a $3k scholarship, and a $10k signing bonus for a new job after I'm done.

I'm just praying they start coming out with parts before that money gets spent on a new house.

personally i would have paid any price for what i wanted. i got sick of excuses and shit breaking. for me it was all or nothing.... it was dcr or go home. there was no more in between.

how much money we talking about? it would be nice to be able to spend a max of 35,000k total, 25k for car, 10k for mods and get the car to be a reliable DD running 11's like everyone wants. I'm sure anyone can spend a limitless amount of money and make any car super fast, but there's gotta be a reasonable cap on spending money. If I'm going to end up spending 50k on this car, might as well get another platform or do an engine swap or something.

regardless, i'm excited about dcr and want to see results.

there will come a day when you can get this car into the 11's for 35k super easy. youd need to start with a USED ms3/6... you have to pull and build the motor anyway. why start with a new ms3 for a project like that? then youd need parts that dont exist yet, and a busier used part section on this site.

figure 15k for the car, 10k for the motor, fuel upgrades, and turbo kit, finally then about 5k for the supporting mods.

if you want to start with a new ms3, it wont happen. you bought the wrong car for 11's with less than 10k in mods. it wont EVER happen.

yep, that why for the next 40-60K miles (on top of my 20K) this car will be my daily. Then somewhere down the line, I'll call you up, Randy, with a blank check and say - "You still owe me a 10 second car" [/vin diesel] lolololll.

edit - for got to mention that I'll be bringing you a donor CX-7 to do the AWD swap for me as well. 500+hp and I want it all going to the ground.
