Dragy Time/Speed/Distance Logger

Anyone using the Dragy? It's becoming popular on other boards and is dirt cheap. It is a very fast GPS based time, speed and distance logger that gives you full dragstrip data. Communicates via Bluetooth to your iPhone or Android with an app on the phone or device. Charges via a mini-usb plug and cable. Apologies if some one else has posted about it. If so, I just missed it. Sorry.

In dragstrip mode it even gives you a roll-out and calculates trap speed the same way that strip timers do rather than absolute speed at the end.

Comparisons to time slips are eerily accurate, typically within mere hundredths, not simply tenths of the official time slips. Can't verify this statement personally, as I've not taken this vehicle to the strip yet. Only going by comparisons posted on other boards.

It even measures whether the run was flat/level and will not validate anything that has more than the allowed 1 degree of slope that certified dragstrips are allowed.l So you can't be tempted to cheat by doing datalogging on a slope, running it through Virtual Dyno and posting up inflated hp/torque.

It does not calculate power, only time/speed/distance. It does not care about vehicle weight since it's not calculating power. It only concerns itself with acceleration. And deceleration. It can do 60-0 for absolute brake testing, if you wish.

You can also have customized settings, if you want to time say 40-120 mph rolls or such.

Nifty little device that I picked up for $149. Widely available. Haven't seen us talking about it here.

I've not done a log for my MS3 yet. That's coming when I get some time. My first log was on my Audi Q5 SUV with mild Stage 2 (single pulley) tune and otherwise basically stock. It's just a 4,300 lb. piggish SUV that I'm not trying to make into a racecar. Just wanted to see if the modest changes made more power. You will see that the 1.9 60 ft actually sucks for AWD. It should be more like 1.7 or even 1.6 on street tires.

Here are the results, just to begin the discussion. I think using devices like this in addition to real timeslips and dyno/VD charts would be helpful for tuning.
