I failed inspection too because of 3 not ready monitors.
I do not have a cel because I have disabled the codes in ATR.
Currently my egr valve is sitting in the engine bay plugged in, hoping it would clear the monitor.

My question is. Say you have all monitors ready, when you flash a new map to the Ecu do these monitors reset and go into not ready state?

Also having the codes disabled in ATR will prevent the monitors from ever being ready?

And last, say I enabled the codes, monitors become ready but throw a cel, once the monitors are ready I throw in a new map with the codes erased would those monitors go back into a non ready state or stay ready until I disconnect the battery and the reset?

I'm pretty sure when a map is flashed it resets the monitors. As for the other two questions I'm not sure as I've never had to mess with disabling anything.

Just flashed the Ecu with a new map and all the monitors reset. Time to stop flashing so often so I could have even the slightest chance of passing emissions. 3 months overdue so far

I am down to evap monitor and egr not ready.
All I need is to get one of those ready and I am set.

First time I had 4 not ready so this is an improvement

Get versatuner. Lol. I have a CEL hidden via VT for the intake runner flaps, and my car passes readiness for all tests and shows CEL inactive or not on via other scan tools.

I know, but it still shows that the CEL is not active. A CEL will not allow you to pass readiness. At least in CA, they specifically look at the flag that says whether the CEL is active or not, as well as readiness monitors.

eBay. They are cheap. You don't need a expensive unit to read the readiness of the monitors.

This is the one I used:

Before, I had all my codes go into "READY" mode except for my CAT (Since I'm catless)

Now, I've started fresh and put a secondary O2 extender on and it worked like a charm! CAT is ready, but now the EVAP won't go "READY" for ANYTHING! I've done like 3 specific drives cycles for it and nothing. Before, it only took once... WTF?

Any ideas? Gas level is 1/2-3/4 everytime and my gas cap is tight (Clicked 4 times).

EGR has been deleted for a long time. The DTCs for it have been disabled too.

Just weird that the EVAP set to ready before the CAT, and now it won't. I don't get it

I just ordered a new cap and purge valve just to try em, but it seems odd that they'd just magically go out when I'm right new my emissions cutoff date lol
