Default Fuel pressure occasionally plummets

Hello I'm relatively new to this forum and currently wanted to reach out for a little help I drive a bone stock 2007 mazdaspeed6 I do have an accessport running the stage 1 91 tune, other than that there's nothing else done to the car. Recently the fuel pressure occasionally plummets and I get a code for a fuel pressure regulator low circuit I believe. The pressure is normally sitting around 330 while I'm at idle and around1600+ while driving (hpfp act. on accessport) but occasionally it will drop down to well below 100 and hesitate badly starving for fuel. Sometimes just for a few minutes sometimes longer. My question is, could this be the high fuel pressure pump or the in tank pump with the regulator or even another issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks to anyone that takes the time to read this. I just don't want to throw parts at it if it can be avoided and the correct part can be purchased first.

I think I would pull the HPFP and clean it...or at least take a look at it first because it is pretty easy to get to and disassemble.

When the fuel pressure drops, does the AFR go crazy rich?
