Default Fuel Pump blew up

Hello everyone im new to the platform and have been trying to do forum searches for my problem but would love someone else's opinion on this.
Recently my car started cutting fuel above 5k rpm while WOT. I was running a datalog doing a 3rd gear pull when my fuel pump completely gave out. Pressure went to 0 and it threw a P0192 CEL.
Ive attached the datalog link for reference. Is my fuel pump completely dead? It also started leaking fuel near the pump but i couldnt tell from where.
Forgot to mention previous owner said its a Cobb HPFP. Any help is appreciated thanks.

Maybe you should check out where that leak is coming from...

Bad fuel pressure, leaking near the pump, but you aren't sure what the problem might be...

Basically, you don't even know if you actually have upgraded internals...

Yup, that's what I do when shit goes wrong. Throw up my hands and run for answers without checking, troubleshooting, or using logic.

Like uh, my pump is leaking, but I don't know whats wrong. LOL. Come on man.

Find source of leak. Buy part. Remove pump and take it apart. Search forums for picture of upgraded vs. stock internals. Determine type you have. Take action.

your fuel cut is not related to the pressure of the pump. Pump pressurizes just fine.

It's not likely the fuel pump, your pressure goes from 2k psi+ to 0 in one row of the log. I'd suspect more of an issue with the fuel pressure sensor, or a line that's now totally blown out, but that should be pretty obvious....

I took it to a local shop to test for leaks and he couldnt find any, relief valve looked good too and he told me to replace the sensor.
Only problem is they can only get the sensor with a brand new fuel rail for $900. I can get a local used rail with sensor for $130, but i want to know if theres any other tests i can run to make sure i dont waste $130 on a sensor that wont fix my problem. Thanks in advance

Forgot to mention the Voltage is 0, then when unplugged its 5v, pump psi is 0 but i can still idle the car fine, only when under load does it freak out and studder and stall

If there was EVER any fuel outside of the engine and fuel system, it didn't get there by osmosis. You have a leak. If your mechanic can't find it, find a new mechanic. Unless you enjoy the prospect of roasting s'mores over your engine bay. In that case, it's totally cool.

Bad connection/sensor.

Like I said before, it goes from over 2k psi to 0.
Fluid can't do that as fast as it did in your log.

While you're at it. Pull that fuel pump and check the internals. It really isn't difficult.

Replaced my sensor with a brand new one, pressure now stuck at 2168 and still has problems. Looks like im looking at a wiring/ecu issue?

Cleaned out my spill valve, took off the PRV and it looked rough inside so i ordered one from edge autosports and we'll see if that fixes it when it comes in

I'd have Weston at 'Smeagol's Mazdaspeed HPFP Rebuild Kits' rebuild your HPFP while the car is down. He cleans out pump, replaces all o-rings (which are a wear part) and replaces all of the bolts with stainless steel allen bolts. He did mine and the pump is mint. He also sells AN lines that replace both plastic fuel lines.

Replaced Pressure relief valve and took off and cleaned my spill valve, still nothing... getting pretty frustrated with the money I’m spending and can’t figure it out. I guess next step is to take it to a dealer to look for a ecu or harness shortage.

Any luck with your car eventually? Getting the same problem and attempted the same fixes. Thinking something is shorted, but finding it hard to trace between the ECU and the pigtail connected to the coil packs
