Default Spend My Money For Me

Soooo I'm indecisive, lazy, fearful & ocd. These things cause problems when it comes to spending money. I'm making a list here with links to help myself, but I also want your suggestions if necessary. I'm set on the wheels, tho, since I want to try and keep the negative scrub radius.

If you know of a better price, part, have another suggestion or are a vendor looking to deal, hit me up and/or post in here.

As far as parts I'm not decided on yet, I'm fine with DIY so if another OCC will work but doesn't have a check valve, I'll get a check valve ya know?

Wheels:
_Enkei PF01 17x8 ET50 (silver) with centers
_~ $1,100
_TireRack

Tires:
_Continental ExtremeContact DW 245/45ZR17 Purchased @ $620
_Tire Details - Discount Tire Direct

Lugs:
_McGard 65557BK SplineDrive Wheel Installation Kit Purchased @ $81.35
_Amazon

STS:
_Ralco RZ 914950 Purchased @ $116.61
_Ralco RZ Short Shifter MAZDA 3 2007 - 2009 914950

Programmer:
_AP AP-MAZ-002
_$535.00
_07-11 Mazdaspeed3 Cobb Tuning Accessport

Side Mounts:
_JBR obv.
_$350.00

Springs:
_Swift
_$319.00
_Swift Spec R Springs Mazdaspeed 3 MS3 2010+

Fuel Pump Internals:
_$349.96
_Autotech Hi Volume Fuel Pump Upgrade HPFP Internals Mazdaspeed 3 6 MS3 MS6

Help:

Spark Plugs:
_?

Strut Mounts:
_What adjustable mounts are out there?

Rear camber arms:
_Brand loyalty aside, which ones are a.) awesome & b.) adjustable on the car?

BSD Kit:
_Which would you recommend?

OCC:
_Which would you recommend? Easiest to drain?

EGR Blockoff:
_I'm thinking JBR?

FSB:
_Stiffest?

RSB:
_Stiffest?

Is the Whiteline bumpsteer thing worth it?
Is the Whiteline caster kit worth it?
Should I get rear toe adjuster thingies?

What else am I missing? I don't (yet,) want a FMIC/TMIC, dp, etc.
I don't have the money for internals or the AP yet, hence why it's mostly the stuff at the beginning of the list.

How are we so far/what do you think?

:edit:
Please include links.

I seem to recall having heard some not-so-great things about the Ralco RZ short shifters. I think if you look around a little bit, you'll find some mentions of it being "weak" or "rattly" or something along those lines.

I think I'd go with the TWM kit instead, though it is significantly pricier.

From what I've read, the Conti's are okay at everything, great at nothing.

I still say a summer setup and a winter setup.

DW, not DWS. They're second only to 2x expensive Michelins.

If you want to know about the Ralco RZ for sure, I suggest you chat with Daddy Chinkus. I think he's got one in his car.

Is there a bsd walk-through?
Any less expensive occ's or would making a cheaper one work negate the savings?
Link to Megan camber arms?

@jbarone - does yours adjust when installed?

What is the consensus on rear toe adjusters?

I heard that with aggressive shifting with short shifters you are highly increasing the chance to ruin your tranny. To be more specific you are putting a lot of pressure on synchronizers.

I have heard it from reputable source, but I am NO EXPERT! May somebody who know about the possible problems that short shifter can bring can comment here...it will be nice to know for sure.

Whoever said a STS ruins your synchros is retarded.

That said, I'm just buying that to replace my stock unit. I'm going to add a 2" extension to bring it back to stock height anyways.

Hey, found this thread by @Tomas:

Hotchkis FSB Install

@Tomas sais (post #5) that he does not experience oversteer. In fact he highly recommends Hotchkis FSB.

Ralco STS ordered from THMotorsports: $116.61 shipped.
Hubcentric rings ordered from EBay - $9.
McGard lug kit ordered - $38 after using AMEX points (from ~$85)

Question:
Why are the spark plug part numbers for 2010 MS3's and 2008 MS3's different?

@Daddy Chinkus - is the shifter a STS because they cut the shaft down or because the linkage connection is longer?

NGK 2008: ILTR6A-8G .032"
NGK 2010: SILTR6A-7G .027"

Obviously the gap, but what else?

If you are getting an AP, you might as well invest in one step colder plugs. For the OCC....yes, MC's is a great setup, but it isn't anything you can't do yourself. You can install the OCC by the horn bracket, which lets you drain the easiest, or by the CAI (should still fit). When you do install the OCC, you should also clean your valves and do the EGR blockoff at the same time, since it is a seriously big PITA without the I off.

+1 for TriPoint Rear Swaybar. Their customer service is better than amazing. I'd rather support them then someone who's an ass to anyone who questions their products (JBR).

A.) @jbarone is one of the best vendors we've ever had.
B.) My thread is not for bickering.

JBR is also one of the cockiest people ever on the forum.

Shifting a car without using the clutch says nothing about someone's knowledge oor experience with car setup.

I'm also not the one who can't use the search function for one of the most commonly discussed maintenance upgrades.

First off, no one mentions the SILTRA6A-7G.
Second, get off your soap box and fuck off / gtfo.

Do you have a shortened boot? I assume it's where the washer is that retains the boot?

All these mentions of Matt Damond.. I don't think the guy exists. I think he is made up. Either that or he has been on location with Ben for the last 6 months. The guy reminds me of the R.O.U.S.es or Keyser Söze.

Hello,

They are very similar, but have different part numbers. The SILTR6A-7G is dealer only. The ILTR6A-8G is the option available for purchase in the aftermarket.

Best Regards,

Note:
Holy crap, I got my hubcentric rings already.

I bought them on 5.3.2012 for $8.90 with free shipping on they're here... cray.
I highly recommend "aaiautomotiveaccessories," on EBay.

One point of contention: The spline-drive nuts have rotating seats so they don't fuck your wheels up.
The locks that came with it do not.
I'm happy because they'll protect my shit, but still... wtf?
