Default "Highly" modded MS3

This is an 07 with 90K miles.. snapped some pics and wanted to get some experienced opinions. Yes, I read the ofiicial "I'm looking to buy" thread.

He bought the car like this at 60K miles and hasn't touched anything besides regular mantinence since.

Came with "built internals", BOV, front mount, CAI, and an unknown garrett turbo with KTT1 on the side, also has Cobb AP.

FWIW he knows little about the build and is asking $10,500 (nada value for clean car is 9,275)

thanks!

That engine bay looks like an ashtray was thrown across it. My god! Me personally, I like to believe that you can tell a lot about someone by how they keep their car. This looks like it's been neglected for quite some time, but that's just me.

Stay away from that one, it clearly wasn't taken care of well. You can find much nicer for that money.

Also, where are you, and what are you looking for? If you go VIP, you can browse the cars for sale section.

OP read the "what to look for" thread but disregarded the welcome PM and a proper intro thread.

Thanks. I thought it was pretty rough looking, but everything felt solid on the test drive. I'm from north central WV and not specifically looking for a MS3 right now or I'd pay the $25 to search. I'm just looking for a non-RWD daily for around 10K, preferably modded. My buddy told me he knew somebody selling one of these; I thought it was worth a look.

MS3 would make sweet daily. Go to dealerships and drive some cars. Try to narrow down your search.

I'm not sure about that car. As others said I would prefer to buy something that has been taken care of and that engine bay screams I dont give a fuck.

If you decide to get an MS3 that $25 will pay off very quickly. I have learned quite a bit here and met some people that saved me a lot of money. Best of luck in your search.

2005 Mazda 3 SP23: mods include rusty quarter panels and grinding 3rd gear. It does have a fusion motor, so I guess that's a mod too.

"Preferring something modded" will most likely end in more pain than it's worth. Learn to mod the car yourself if you would like to go down that path (which you will) as this platform is not one you can neglect and expect to run perfectly, especially when modded. Your posts make it sound like you're either lazy or don't have the time to treat the car right, and I'm writing this as more of a warning to that mindset. If you want an MS (or most other turbo performance cars), you will have to get to know your car, or you'll end up like those on Facebook that blame Mazda for them not knowing why an upgraded HPFP is needed for their shiny new exhaust. Additionally, stay away from that car if you haven't made a decision yet. It looks very much neglected, and with that many mods I don't even come close to trusting it. Good luck with your search.

I usually see dust covered engine bays like that after fast body work has been done but I could be wrong. lol @ the horns. That alone would make me walk.
