more displacement you can get away with shit like that. I'm telling you bigger is needed for a 4 cylinder turbo application the t/c and intake manifold are needed. don't do 1 without the other. big gains WILL come from this. you can't tell me i'm wrong in this.

i'm not. plain and simple.
I'm pushing 550 to the wheels with a boosted (16psi) 4.6l mustang with a stock intake, stock TB and stock heads built bottom end and blower cams. Heads will pick me up probably 100 to the wheels with no changes, intake manifold maybe 30 maybe less and TB with a larger intake plenum package will pick me up 10-15. A TB with my application will net me maybe about 7-10 hp. Like I said its on the pressure side of the equation so its a restriction only to a point but its more of an efficiency value than a restriction. Once boost comes on its going to make that amount of boost no matter whats in the intake path. You will see gains no doubt but no more than 20 at the most in a perfect world on sunday, on this car. My concern is that for the money a new TB may cost, especially a drive by wire TB, someone could do a whole lot more with their money elsewhere. Once you get to a point then you can do it and see big gains, then the money spent is worth it. Again as I have said before about other subjects, I hope your right because then it will be cheap easy horsepower for all.

just about every 4 cylinder car is gonna make huge power off of a intake manifold, like golden eagles do for honda's bolt on at least 40whp, and otehrs and such.

Intake and exhaust manifolds are easy upgrades that do a lot more than people would give them credit for, a good veolocity stacked intake mani will do wonders on a boosted 4 cylinder with a huge surge tank/plenum.

i've been though this fight with other cars, wondering how to get power out of it, and once the ecm is done its going to be just like any other car really becasue thats all it is, all the same principals apply to this motor just like any other motor.

I will agree with you an intake manifold is a very good mod for any car no matter what the form of power adder you have.

Nope, we have to weld on the stock manifold in order to get it opened up to 60mm. Its just to thin around the opening into the intake manifold.
