Default Laloosh, this is something you may want to try...

I never even thought about this but last week when we were talking about boost control I ran acroos this (pictures) and remembered that this was the same way that Mistu controlled there over boosting in case of boost controller failures.

Pull that restriction out of your turbo and then try it, it might solve the boost control issues that you were trying to figure out. Just and FYI for you.

Right now adn for the dyno day i had saturday it was hooked up inline witht he stock bc and it worked great...others said it was impossible....My car just seems to define what ever1 states will or will not work. I did dyno a lil low (302whp 336wtq) @ 18 psi falling to 10 by redline, but this was my base before i try your ptp k04

Sorry, what I meant to say is "here is the other way that they control boost".

If your car does things different you may want to check and see if that restrictor is still in there. If not that would explain alot. You should not be falling off that much and I suspect that you would see a lot more WHP and WTQ if you could keep the boost up. WGA's are on the way... wait? Did he say WGA are on the way? Yes I did .

Its a bitch to remove. Back in my mitsu days we made a tool that had a sharpend tip on that has threads and tappered up. You would screw that in then tighten a nut on a sleeve to remove or "pull" it out of the turbo. The Mitsu tool will not work because the fitting on the turbo is just a little biggeron the MS3.

The other way is to use a self tapping screw, pliers and a hammer. Good luck.

Yep. To be honest they are easy to remove if you have the right tools, or you can drill the whole thing out and tap it for a standard unit. That has worked the easiest for us so far.

Low he says................... So as far as how you have that MBC set up now, there is no difference whatsoever between your way and the cap the solenoid, turbo > MBC > WGA method? Just curious.......... it was a PITA to install the later way.

We now have the Dual stage BC on the car with the rocket switch. I hope to have some video up of it with the gauge showing how well it works. I hope to have a WGA as well on the car here in a few days.

What is the gain from hooking the boost controller inline with the stock boost solenoid? Shouldn't the boost spike to the set limit on the boost controller and then drop off to the stock solenoids level?

(Where did you install the boost controller when you set it up in line with the stock boost solenoid? before or after the solenoid? I'm confused.)

Well I have yet to confirm the effects that it has on the MS but on the old mitsu's it would allow for more boost to be held to redline and it calms down the boost spike. The old mitsu's would pick up 20 WHP in the mid range all the way to up top when you pulled the restrictor out of them. Those were line restrictors but pretty much the same thing as what you have here on the MS3.
