MS3 vs EVO X

Lol he wanted to sell his 65k mile MR to me for 22k. Sure it's not brand new... But I'd take it over a 22k speed 3. Stock twin scroll, I have heard 450 hp on stock turbo. Now the big thing in the DSM world is swapping Evo x turbos on 20Gs...

I believe that dual clutch is licensed from Porsche, its fun for about 5 minutes.

Its clunky and jerky at lower speeds and only shifts quickly when its winded up.

It's a little rough for an automatic, yes a little. But I didn't mind it. I think most people expect the smoothness that a torque converter provides, I personally like the feel of direct line between engine and transmission.

I hate watching my RPMs increase in my truck while traveling at a constant speed. Torque converter locking and unlocking when going up and down hills is annoying...

lol… he has since sold all of those EVOs and bought a EVO9 with 40k miles and its getting the 520hp evo's (car has 115K miles on it) goodies (port/polished manifolds, ported FP GREEN, busher duel FP set up, Cams, AMS intercooler, and ebay exhaust) plus AMS built head and i believe he just picked up a record breaking used FP red that made over 600hp on a dyno queen (some legend in the EVO world ported it).

my other good friend bought the EVO X MR (~23K$), the buscher built evo sold for 18K$, and the once 510hp beast is now making low-mid 400hp and sold for ~17K$. iirc. give or take a 1-2000$





you really can't argue with an EVO when it comes to going fast. run 10s on stock drivetrain, its been done. run 10s on stock turbo… its been done. shit is crazy. hell, the TWINSCROLL that comes on the Evo X is capable of making 450hp!!!!

you replace 1 motor mount and thats it! just add hp….

idk bout making 450 on bolt ons.... most ive seen is 350something fully bolted on stock ghey X turbo.

No one tried too hard cause the stock frame upgrades were out so quick but 430 on e85 and bolt on has been done. Only reason why tuners DON't do 450 on stock turbo when they could is cause the Tq you'd be making at that point would blow a bottom end in a hurry.
