(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score @atvfreek; Went to the track again, on Saturday I ran on 93 only, it was hot but humid and I did not notice much significant KR. On Sunday, it was hot and more dry, about 95 ambient after lunch, I filled the tank with 93 gas in the morning, did the first session, added 3 gallons of 104 gas and did the remaining 3 sessions on this mixture. The logs look great, in log 4 I hit a personal record of 200.75* BAT and got only one cell of .35 KR there. ![]() For the record, the map I was running was a 20 psi map with timing pulled once BATs get above 120 which they always were once I got moving. ![]() Log 3 knock: Code: . tab KR

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Yes, I looked here and may rig up a CAI extension over the summer. Right now I have Matt Damond's power steering cooler there, which would most likely have to be relocated. I am also planning on brake ducts in the future, I am not sure if a CAI would interfere.

| Not Ranked : 0 score take out your foglights, get 2" ducting (you may be able to go up to 2.5", but it would be pushing it), and its essentially an L shaped design for brake ducts. its what I did.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Picked those up today! Another set of 17x9 6ULRs, this time in black, and the set came with one spare (I also have a spare for the tungsten set of 6ULRs). I can finally not worry about cording a tire at the track on a Saturday afternoon. My tire collection has been growing as well.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Got bumped to a yellow group today, so now I am in yellow with both the local PDS and The Drivers Edge! Edit: Also looked at my mod list, there are still some things to do: 1. Coilovers + corner balancing -- whenever they are ready 2. Clean up wiring inside the car after the cage build 3. AWR radiator 4. @CorkSport; BBK 5. Brake ducts 6. New laptop as the old one died 7. AiM Solo DL + GoPro 8. HANS + a super secret project.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score So there is an "Advanced Driving Clinic with Andy Lally" coming to the TWS. I guess this is as close as it gets to a dedicated performance driving school for a fraction of the price. For example, Skip Barber charges $3,300 for a 2-day high performance driving school, this event is only $1,000 and is local so I do not need airfare, lodging, etc. Here is the description: "This will be two full days of unrestricted open track on the 2.9 mile road course. During the weekend, Andy will drive your car at speed with you in the right seat, to set some baseline data and video and give real-time feedback on the car’s set up and potential. Other highly qualified coaches will also ride with you throughout the weekend to help you get closer to Andy’s performance. There will be a data analyst to help download and analyze in car data quickly. And of course, Andy will be available throughout each day to discuss set up, driving techniques, and his storied career. This exclusive event is open only to a limited number of licensed racers, instructors and select advanced drivers." I emailed organizers asking if I am advanced enough to get in, keeping fingers crossed. Hopefully I will have my suspension sorted out by then.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Yes, of course. The local rate for a race-prepared Ford Mustang is $700 per weekend, so it would be $1,700 vs $3,300.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I think it includes everything, would have to check. It is possible that it is limited to the standard 4 sessions a day though rather than running an open track day.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I noticed my front rotors (DBA 4000) have numerous little cracks, I had them installed 6,300 miles ago. The Carbotech XP12 are also gone in the front. @CorkSport; when are you coming out with the 4 piston calipers for the MS6? You can pm me if you do not want to discuss it here. I am not road racing until early September and if you think you will roll out the kit for the MS6 by then I'd rather not spend money on brake pads now, but wait for your calipers and buy WRX pads. A colleague stopped by my office today and told me he just bought two new tires for his car, this made me wonder how much stuff my car consumed in 18 months of ownership. I bought the car in February 2012 with 53,270 miles. I now have 62,814 so I have driven the car 9,544 miles. I went through 2 new sets of tires, and 4 used sets of tires. A 7th set of tires is already here and waiting. I've had 4 alignments and 6 oil changes. I bought 2 sets of rims, I have 2 sets of spare front axles and a spare long block. My wallet is bleeding but my heart is rejoicing.

| Not Ranked : 0 score That is why I just buy cheap blanks, you can buy 3 sets of them for the price of one set of those.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Yeah, I may be switching to blanks, when I was buying the DBA's last year the new nondirectional design just came in and I was able to buy the old directional design for super cheap, not anymore. I need to start thinking about brake ducts. At the track, front rotors temps were hitting 600*F and the rears 500*F.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Blanks and ducts are going to be your friends.... Back to the brake kit. We are waiting for the brackets and lines to be finished up. I dont have the completion date for that though. -Derrick |

this. I could've sworn I told you that you can take the fog lights out of the front bumper and run 2" ducting through that hole and to the rotor. cost will be about $100 in material (hose, brackets/accessories). that's what I did and it did wonders. no pics though

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I do have spare fog light housings and will run 2.5" or 3" ducting, just been too lazy to get around doing the ducts, but yesterday's discovery definitely provided a much needed incentive.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I tried 3" dryer ducting at first since it was like 7 bucks for a 10 foot strand at ace and didn't want to spend the 70 bucks for actual brake ducting. I found it was going to be really difficult to route it without the wheel rubbing past 3/4 turn. 2.5" might work better, but I would definitely suggest 2". plus you can get by with tighter bends.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Yes, that's exactly the plan! I saw this on a car at the speedway a few months ago and was mindblown. What are these called so I can google them? I will have my cage builder weld them for me to the heatshields.
