(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I was installing my "ricelands" today and this happened. I was attempting to torque the nut at around 30 foot pounds and then snap. I should have known it was coming, just kept tightening so easily. I don't have the money to fix this nor the time. I have tomorrow to attempt something radical. I figure I can drill out the rest of the stud, I know it's welded in place and replace it with a high strength nut and bolt. It's the only choice I have at this point, I've google'd the issue and I'm not the only one to have fucked this up, makes me feel a tad better. |
