Default New MS3 owner

Hello to all ,
First off. I am a sixty year young man that bought a 2009 MS3 true red and I love the car...love the looks of the car and then the power and the brakes. I bought it about six months ago and had the cer service and checked out by the Mazda dealer and haven't had any problems. I see no bolt on mods at all ....

I am hoping I will just enjoy driving the car for as long as I can . Not sure if any other sixty year young guys driving a MS3 or MS6 out there. Not planning on doing any mods or racing but I love to watch cars and motor racing.

Love this forum you all are ! Awesome !

Just realize I should have posted this in the new member forum ... Sorry!

The mod might move it.

At least you noticed, a lot of newbs don't

Welcome to the forum. I'm getting up there but I'm not quite close to your age yet.

Why watch when you can join in? There is a stock car class in SCCA so you can race for realz.

The key to happiness is owning a car ridiculously slower than your 'fast' car.

I am 67. 68 in April. I bought my '08 MS3 GT new in the spring of '08. Almost ten years of ownership. Mods below. All done by me personally, as well as all maintenance. Age is just a state of mind, although it not quite as easy to roll around on a creeper under the car, or climb up on top of the engine to remove and replace a turbo back against the firewall as when I was younger.

Its been my daily driver until last year. Uber reliable and fun. My wife urged me to "get a grown up car", so I got a 430 hp Audi. She doesn't know how quick it is, because it has an auto transmission and quieter exhaust! I still drive the Speed 3 on weekends. Its my fountain of youth.

Been here awhile. Seen and done a few things. If I can help, PM me.

Welcome! 60yr old man here, '09 speed 3 purchased new, modded. My first car out of High school was a 1974 Mazda rx3 - the one with the wankel engine. Drove it like a maniac, and blew the motor at 88,xxx miles... learned a lesson about driving a car hard, versus driving a car fast.....
