Yes, you should probably wait. I am going to look over the service manual and ECU pinouts to see how similar they are. If you know of an easy place on this forum I can go to find them, please let me know.

I've also been in contact with a local MS6 owner and I'll probably have him come down and I'll install a WOT Box on their car and make sure it works before we start shipping them for the MS6.

Ok, it appears to be a different ECU altogether, so I'll probably want to do the first install to make sure it all works.

Is there anywhere that has the entire service manual as a PDF? Those diagrams are pretty good. The only thing I can't tell is which of the pins is the signal output for the accelerator position sensor #1. There is a different section of the manual that will have it.

The main question I need to answer about the MS6 is if it has the same crank wheel as the MS3. That will determine if we need new code for the MS6 or not. We will find out soon...

All the hardware should be the same. The motors are identicle, they just have different ecus for whatever reason. Not really sure why.

I'm still trying to find a pdf version. I have the manual at home, but I won't be back there until ~5 tonight.

You can put me on the list for the speed6 and pm me when you need payment. I want the two step.

Cool. No problem. Once you've got it hooked up I can send you a trial software load that will let you switch from 2-step only to wot shift only and you can see if you like it. If you do, we can upgrade you. If not, you can go back to 2-step only.

So many options... :-)

ok now that i bought one i have a question !!
i got the 2 step only, does it only work with the car in first gear or will it happen in all gears ??
i gues the better question is after i launch and i am flat shifting my way down the track, since i keep my foot to the floor is it going to try to drop my rpm's down to the 2 step set rpm or will it let it stay up at 6500 or whatever ??

The 2-step will engage only when the clutch is pressed and THEN the throttle goes to WOT.

If the throttle goes to WOT and THEN the clutch is pressed, it will WOT Shift. If you don't have that feature, it will not activate.

The order in which the pedals are pressed determines which function is executed.

So, everything is automatic and active all the time (well as long as you have paid for it!). It determines which feature to engage based on the order the pedals are pressed.

I've been thinking of offering a special software upgrade to allow that.

However, at this time there is no way to upgrade a single feature box to a dual feature box in the field. It is just too difficult to make that happen securely without having to keep track of serial numbers, secret keys, etc... So, if you want to upgrade in the future there will be two options:

1. Pay the extra fee to upgrade (it will be slightly more than if you bought both features at the start) and mail your box in. We will flash it and mail it back to you.
2. Pay the extra fee plus a core charge and we will advance ship you an extra WOT Box so that you don't have any down time. Once you have returned the single feature WOT Box we will refund the core charge.


Lastly, I haven't really gone into this much, but if you notice there is a serial port on the side of the WOT Box. That serial port allows you to upgrade your software as new features are released and the software is improved. In fact, I'm going to make use of that soon and send Darksun280 a software upgrade that should fix his 2-step RPM. It was just a tad high and I think I figured out why...

So, we'll have software upgrades posted on our site as they come out so that you can keep your WOT Box up to date with the current software.

The serial port will also be where the shift light will plug into. And lastly, there is a rumor that someday I will write some windows software that will allow you to retrieve logs from the WOT Box and adjust parameters with fine precision. We will probably log things like your shift times, so you can see how fast you shift.

Out of curiosity, what happens if you're not fully wot, like say, a 1/4" up on the pedal? Some people find that the car is a bit faster just shy of wot. Would this cause some problems? Could that perhaps be adjustable?
