| Not Ranked : 0 score Ive been searching for information regarding the Mazda donut exhaust gasket. Haltech recommended it in his how-to thread and there was another thread where cpe was quoted to have said no gasket is required for the meet up between dp and cbe. Once again, Im asking here as to not make a new thread lol (as it is related to downpipes). any recommendations? |

I have the Cp-e catless downpipe and I didn't use a donut gasket. Car runs fine and haven't heard any exhaust leaks yet.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Oh. When I installed mine I had to use an adapter and the new donut gasket I bought didn't fit the catback side of the adapter some how. So I just put a good 40 ft lbs on the bolts and they don't leak one bit. So you can get away with not using it.

Just as an FYI, several people have had fitment issues with the speed daddy catless DP; myself included. Its made a bit short. The DP still fit, but it pulled my entire exhaust forward to mate up with the DP. Had to use C clamps to install it the first time. Oh, and an extended rear o2 causes a CEL on the Pus. So if you can, one without an extended bung would be preferred. If you have the funds, have someone either cut it or weld in a normal one altogether, before you have it installed. Or do what I do, install it and shut the check engine lights off. lol

I assume this is an upgrade over stock but I can't find anything about it. Will I be better off getting another catback or is the mazdaspeed version as good as the others. |

I have read of people not even getting a CEL on a catless DP that had a standard bung. With that said, I personally have CELs from the extended bung on my DP. It thinks my o2 sensor is shot, and its probably right these days, after running e85 for like 3 straight years.

When it comes to BT, you will need the DP. Personally, an ebay DP and TP are relative in price. Might as well get the m2 DP and do it right to begin with.

Ive had mine for about 30k no issues. get rid of the junk gasket they give you and reuse the stock one. The DP came up a little short on my genpu but thats nothing longer bolts cant fix. if you have a genpu, please cut the secondary bung down to half size and/or drill a new hole with a shorter bung. the secondary NEEDS to be close to exhaust stream otherwise youll run rich as fuck AFR's and throw two codes. I think its the best bang for your buck. Hell, I think it sounds pretty damn good with jsut this DP and the stock catback.

| I don't think the MS6 DP has the extended rear o2 bung on it. If it does, have a shop weld a standard in before you install it.

| Not Ranked : 0 score So I don't post often on here. Hell I haven't even been searching forums much lately. But I just got my CNT 3" catless downpipe in and installed. It was on back order and I waited for months to get it in. I figured for the price and what I have heard and read I couldn't go wrong. In the end I think I'm in love with the feel and sounds. However I cannot recommend this downpipe because of a major issue I had with their product. If you look at the pictures of the downpipe you will see it looks like a decent piece, until you look at the last few pictures when i went to go and install it. The holes on the bellmouth to mount on the turbo no only are a bitch to get to the studs, but they did not line up correctly and had to be filed out larger in order to make the bolts line up correctly. If I was not in the right place doing this it would have been a long day of hell just to go back to stock. Luckily we were able to file the holes larger and put this thing up and down on the lift repeatedly until the holes lined up correctly again. Now it is time to play with tune and i will try to keep you guys updated on that somewhere else on the forums. Then next on list is to cut out the 2.5 inch flange on the Magnaflow 15557 exhaust and put on a flat 3 inch flange to match this downpipe (just threw on a flat gasket for now knowing its getting done soon.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I know this thread is old but im getting ready to purchase a catted downpipe but im still debating on whether to get divorce or bellmouth due to many different opinions. Justin recommended me corksport or cobb. One is divorce and one is bellmouth. I was reading on other subaru forums that divorce was the way to go, having separate tubes avoiding turbulence, boost spikes and the same time exhaust flow is smoother, giving the car the chance to produce hp and tq efficiently. Others think that bellmouth is the way to go when you have high boost applications and that this model is best suited for the mazdaspeed 3. Normally drag race cars have separate tubes, the wastegate comes out the side of the car or the bottom while the turbo tube out the hood in some cases(divorce way) With what model do you guys recommend I should go? Ive been inclined towards the divorce but you guys tell me what is your thought

| Not Ranked : 0 score I don't have any professional or mathematical advice on this matter. All I can say is mine has treated me great since it's been in. Surprising amount of power being pushed out of my stock ko4. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

Drag racing cars have external wastegates thats why they have a downpipe and and dump pipe for the wastegate. Outr k04 is internally wastegated, so just get a bellmouth and be done with it. Thats what the majority of the people here including me have and no issues. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk | |
