@chuckms6 - It would be great to see the comparison, but (and I'm sure you already know this...) a quick note to be cautious with the "after with the same tune" log as your boost characteristics will be dramatically different, reaching higher boost levels, and much quicker/easier. That is, don't be surprised if this log is just showing off fuel cut.

I'm willing to bet tuned I deff gained more than 5hp. I have nothing to prove it, but now EVERY time I go wot in 4th to the top, my heart is racing afterwards. I can be driving on the highway drop into third get on it and spin the tires. The gains were definitely noticeable and I would recommend everyone get the DP. Plus it sounds sexy..M2 DP to HKS catback

| Neutral : +1 score I posted VD graphs of before and after dp install. Logs taken on same rd same conditions etc. If I recall it was 18hp gain and 25ish tq gain. DP is definitely worth the gains, just not the major fail I encountered doing mine. I doubt anyone will have as hard of a time provided yours has not been messed with before. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I did the DP install yesterday by myself... had never done a DP before... took just over 8 hours. I already had the UR catless test pipe so I went with the UR Downpipe to have matching components. I can say the install was a complete bitch for a first timer with no help. If your not mechanically inclined I would strongly suggest you get someone else to help you who has some experience. With what I know now it could have probably done in 3-4 hours with a second pair of hands. As far as power gains, it will be different for everyone depending on your mods, but on my car I diddnt notice much top end improvement, but mid range (3K - 5K) there's alot more torque there. I spin all of first, all of second, and half of third and I have a good set of tires. Install is a major PITA, and I would recommend making this your last mod, but to answer your question.... yes, it is definately work the pain, time and busted nuckles. BTW, my Gen 2 is NOT throwing the lean codes people complain about when being catless. Ultimate Racing FTW.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score CNT requires an adapter. I've personally installed the Corksport DP/RP combo, COBB DP, ATP full length DP and eBay DP to mate up with the stock CBE and had zero issues. Besides occasionally having to run to the hardware store

Im not looking to put a full 3 inch downpipe on my stock exhaust doin the hole flippin thing like stated above do you need a adapter or something similar to go on a 3 inch exhaust or do you simply put a flat gasket style cat back on will this have fitment ishues becuase there is not spring bolt or a donut gasket there this kind of gastet has a small gap between the flanges for the donut gasket it self sense i want to go full 3 inch will i simply need to buy the exhaust that is three inch flat flange will these be made to fit correctly to the flat flange of the downpipe without pulling on the exhaust | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score ^You sort of answered your own question...Get a downpipe of your choice, use either a donut gasket, or a flat gasket, depending on how the parts use choose fit together. And a little punctuation would make it a lot easier to understand what you are saying. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Corksport is 3" correct? I have an m2 dp and it is also 3". A muffler shop just welded in a piece of stainless 3" w/ a flange and it was all good.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I hate to necro post a thread that was last posted in a month ago,but after doing a shitton of research, I have yet to find the answer to this If I install a downpipe without an AP/Fuel Pump internals, will my car blow? or will the turbo just smoke. I've heard both online and would like a definitive answer |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Yes or no. It is a bad idea but there is no such thing as definitive with that decision. It's like playing russian roulette with only one empty chamber.
