No, but I do know that you'd better have fuel pump internals.

Even I have to agree with everybody on this one. If you know the question's been asked, why don't you do a search? I at least do that much before answering a question. THEN I say that I couldn't find it.

Quick question before money is spent. Planning on buying the corksport catted downpipe. Will the 80mm bolt to the stock catback. Plan to upgrade the catback in the future but don't want to get the smaller diameter just to end up needing a larger diameter later.

You're over thinking it.

At the end of the day they are both just stainless steel pipes.

I have never heard anything bad about the ebay dp, except for the gaskets they provide with it.

Always better to be safe and get another one, or at least have another one on hand when you swap it out so if it is messed up, you are good to go.
Could return it if not needed.

Have there been anymore complaints about the CNT catted downpipe? That's the one I'd like to get.

Anyone running on CS downpipe + racepipe has the boost spike problem? Considering this combo va the cnt catted one. Preferr the CS but I hear that without a boost controller ppl are encounting boost spike problem.
Thanks!

Most people here are tuned, so that is a non-issue.

Generically, "tuned" means taking that Cobb AP map, or OTS map, and making changes to it to match the mods on your car and your environment.

Such changes, while covering several areas, would normally include adjustments to prevent spikes if you're some form of EBCS like the stock 2 port or an aftermarket 2 or 3 port configuration.

So the AP can act like a boost controller.

Oh god... Please just get an E-tune... I mean technically yes, the AP controls WGDC, but it is not a boost controller. It just tells the boost controller what to do.

just bought ebay DP (not installed yet), have AP stage 1 tune, just prepaid for AT intrnals and now have to wait for them.

First question, can I disable the none cat cel with ATR if i already have my EGR block (P0401) cel disabled? Or would using a spark plug fouler be better for tuning purposes?

Also should i just wait for the AT internals (unknown arrive date), or save $30 and get the re disigned KDM's internals shipped tomorrow?

The rear O2 sensor isn't factored into fueling as far as I'm aware. It is mainly for checking the function of the catalytic converter in the downpipe. I would just turn the CEL off if you don't have inspections though. There's no point in lying to the ECU if you don't have to.

You are right on the 6 and first gen 3's. But the gen 2 ms3 have to have that rear o2 in the exhaust stream.

So do Gen1s and MS6s. What I'm saying is that it is only used to make sure that the cat is functioning properly. It will throw a code if you remove the cat, but I personally, would rather uncheck the CEL than use hardware to "trick" the ECU into thinking the cat is still there.

I need to edit my post.....gen 2 use it for air fuel mixture also. Thats why I said you have to have it in stream. You can not run a defouler as it would effect the tuning ability.

Oh, now I see what you're saying. I wasn't aware that the gen2s used the rear O2 for fueling. Is it only used in CL?

Default Downpipe Installed

I just installed my CNT catted downpipe and KMD internals last Saturday. I occasionaly get the CEL flagging the cat but I have the #2 O2 sensor extender left to install. I left it out to see if I really need it and it looks like I do. Just waiting until oil change time to get back under the car.

The KMD internals were pretty easy to install thanks to all of the threads and pics on here and KMD's instructions. Very nice fuel pressures now.

I am getting the P2187 code and have been for some time. So far I have replaced the Purge Solenoid valve, and then I saw my BOV bypass hose had cracks in it where it connects to the BOV so I purchased a new CorkSport silicone bypass hose and installed it. Unfortunately I am still getting the code. Next is cleaning the MAF and further vacuum hose inspestion.

Thinking about that but I have yet to find anyone that can give me an adequate reason instead of "it just sucks" or "AP is better". How about you, you got the time? I am wanting the best bang for my buck so I welcome any and all feedback.

My best run so far has been hanging with a Maserati Gran Torismo up to 164MPH so right now I am kinda liking my Exede.

well first of all its a piggyback computer system, which is never a good idea. the Accessport is a flash based tune.

second, if it was truly better, this wouldnt be the first im hearing of it. good tuning solutions find their way to the front of the pack very easily, like the AP has.

third, im calling bullshit on hanging with a "gran torismo" to 164.

however, this is the downpipe thread and i dont want to get too far off topic. just making a suggestion...
