That's a good question, I couldn't imagine where that info could be found. Probably you would have to buy both gen 1 and gen 2 manual and compare each downpipes measurements... Only way I can think of.

I'll give you credit, atleast you came to the right thread. Go to the first post, page one. There your answer lies.

Then, donate, and search. Like this: Go to google. Type: "site:http://www.mazdaspeedforum.org/forum key words here" and your answer will find itself.

Nice start to thread then people started typing smack and people who don't know how to search started in. Some good questions did arise. Most designs look the same so yes why really pay more. I did notice a question about the corksport seperated wastegate design after thinking about and was glad someone asked but sad no one had a really COOL anwser. Will SEARCH here in a bit. And for the guy still getting the p2187 check your gas cap.

Has anyone used the GS adapter flange to mate to stock CBE? CNT is a way too far out on backorder, and with the 3" flared end it looks like an over all better setup for those who are keeping stock cbe. Grimmspeed 3" Downpipe Adapter WRX STI Where we are two bolt also and same exhaust size, I see no reason why it wouldn't work, didn't see this on the forums but maybe it will help those who need to do this. A flat 2.5" restriction will also hurt flow and create a bottle neck in the exhaust....thoughts?

My bro is using the grimmspeed flange with his ATP dp to stock cbe. Works perfect for him and is a good quality piece

It took the guy I bought my do from a long time to ship it but after holding it and seeing the adapter I am confident it will work no problem. Great option for those who need it. Thanks for confirming it will work @T2J;

The blue one. Needs two shims though.

Or you could just research them all and pick one you like based on whatever is important to you...........

I know I discussed putting a shorter bung on a M2 (eBay) downpipe so it doesn't throw a code. I was wondering if the same can be done with a catless CNT downpipe? I would imagine so but I just wanted to check

I called CNT and they told me they use a regular short bung for the rear O2 sensor.

Yea I just saw that while doing some research on downpipes and it's right at the bend on the dp. Does anyone know if that throws a code there or should it be moved further down stream?

Edit: Also, since I plan to go catless, of course I'll flash a stage 2 ots cobb map but I read that the ots maps are made to work with catted dp's. Will a tune be needed in the very near future after the catless dp or will I be fine for a while so I can save for the tune. @Lex;

It depends on your car man. The tunes are def for cars with a cat. I went CNT catless TBE. I could hit boost cut pretty easily when the temps were around 80° never did in the low 90° Once I put my FMIC on I havent hit the cut, but I am coming very close per my logs. The stage 2 with stock IC has a boost cut at 20 psi and the stage 2 with upgraded IC has a cut at 21 psi. So you may need to dial back WGDC just a tad til you get tuned.

Hopefully that makes sense. I'm rambling in a hurry here.

As long as the M2 has the modified bearing reducer for influx, 49 hp minimum.

Is it really required to have another o2 bung and cap with any downpipe?

Anyone have any dyno results showing gains with the Cobb dp? I'm deciding between Cobb and Corksport, I know the hp difference won't be much but I can't find any numbers on the Cobb one. Their website shows a graph but hp numbers aren't on it.
