Refurbish trans mount?

Anyone know if it possible to recast or replace the rubber in the gen1 transmission motor mount? Look to diy instead of buying new.

So, you are willing to spend more money on diy repair, then buying a new OEM mount? Interesting...

It's $35 for 1 litre of liquid urethane. Doesn't repair sound like something worth considering?

It will be difficult to find an rubber insert with the right sturdiness. And the glue must be very durable and weather resistant. I think the oem is vulcanised rubber. Not easy to replicate.

Get used or buy new. I went GenPu Tranny Mount with the CS insert. Better design, better feel.

Don't be a cheap skate scrub:spankme:

i did fill an oem mount with urethane for my gs-sky 155hp but for a speed it isn't enought.
I used it previously on older winter beater as a cheap fix. you mask one side with tape and fill by the other and let it dry.....it isn't bad and last a lot but it won't make a very rigid support like the one sold for the speed.
