(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  Wheel bearing and/or hub issue? Typically when pulling in or out of a parking spot and the wheel is cranked, more so at wheel lock, I hear a kind of "wah-wah-wah" sound. I gather that I likely need to replace the wheel bearing and possibly the hub as well? If this is accurate, what other parts are recommended to be replaced at the time this work is done? | Not Ranked : 0 score Where does the sound come from? Can you isolate it to the wheel-well area either far left or far right? If it comes more from the center of the engine bay, then it may be an inner CV joint on either side or might just be the limited slip differential needing some friction modifier (which wears out over time), or might be the power steering pump.

| Not Ranked : 0 score a wheel bearing would make noise while driving and get worse when turning the opposite way so i don't think it is your case. Does it sound like a slipping belt ? if you turn each side when the car is not moving but engine running, do you ear the sound ? Does it get worse if you give more throttle when turning ? (an axle joint)

| Not Ranked : 0 score My money is on the LSD making normal noise in this car. Assuming it's a Speed3 of some sort. My LSD has made the wah wah since new and it's held up just fine. Wouldn't worry about it. Did you change your tranny fluid recently and that's why you didn't hear it before?
