Default WMI Advice

Hello All (this is posted in the fuel, nitrous, water section as well.mods feel free to move or delete one)

After reading numerous threads and researching as much as possible, I figured I would see if anyone can offer direct advice. I have a 08 MS3, no plans to go bigger than the K04, so just want to use the kit mainly for cooling purposes. (Mods: Cobb AP, fuel pump internals, TIP, SRI, TMIC, BPV, DP/RP, EBCS, one step colder plugs...protune scheduled for next Tuesday).

Just looking for current/up to date advice regarding the best kit to go with and any installation write ups out there.

I am leaning towards the Cooling Mist stage 2 CMGS kit with auto learn failsafe universal kit, and use the Damond Motorsports throttle body mounting plate. Just wanted to see if this is a good option or if there is something better to look into?

Thank you for any help/advice!

I have the same setup and it is working perfectly after more than 3 years now.
The only bad thing about the CM is that you need to run a boost tube from the engine bay into the cabin for the CMGS controller and you will have to drill the floor for that (pick a good spot near the steering column and run the wires and boost tune through a rubber collar/seal, then seal everything up with silicone), but once done it's done and no need to go back to it.

Okay awesome, that sounds good to me. Did you get the kit with the failsafe?
Also, as far as the meth tank goes itself, what did you do for that (size/mounting location)

How challenging was the wiring?

I did get it with the failsafe (even though I think it's kind of built-in).

I have the 1 gallon tank mounted in the driver fender.

Go through my started threads, I have a bunch of methanol injection threads. In one thread, I remember comparing the damond throttle plate to pre-TB injection, and I had better performance pre-TB versus the throttle plate adapter.

I've also noticed similar claims. IF I do WMI, it'll be pre-TB or racecar port WMI.

If I’m remebering correctly, I did read your thread about it which ultimately made me cancel the order before they shipped it. I think you started having kr with the location change to the Damond TB plate. I’ve also seen other says that for cooling purposes pre TB is best. I will check out all of your other threads too. Thank you so much!

At this point since my tune is already scheduled and I need to get a good 93oct tune asa well, I’m planning to jump on the ethanol train since it’s readily available here. Also gives me more time to thoughtfully plan out the wmi kit and install.

From everything I’ve read here, pre TB is best for cooling, post TB is best for extra fueling.
